There's no way they give up their best pick since getting Rose to get rid of a guy who's expiring.

With the new CBA the diffrence between being a tax paying team and one who isnt is hugh.
Rip isnt going to make much money but that 5 million is exactly the amount that would put them under the tax so its very valuable for them, not to mention they would get a TPE that they will be able to use in the future.

I get the tax thing, but would it be worth it for one year? I know the Bulls owner is cheap, but if I was him I'd rather pay tax for a year and be able to draft a potential number 2 for Rose.

That's an 11.5 million dollar hit. I don't care how cheap or wealthy you are, that isn't pocket change.

But I suspect Vilanueava is a more reasonable target personally, as someone else said he's in the doghouse, and it's 16 Million in salary over the next two years, plus nearly ten million in taxes. That's 25 million back in Reinsdorf's pocket.

I am about 99% positive that the Pistons do not amnesty Charlie V this year. Next summer, I am 99% positive they do amnesty him.

That's like a month of Rose jersey sales. They should be fine.

Yeah right Alex. In order for a quick rebuild, that would require making some trades and moves that dont involve the Magic getting hosed.

:offtopic: but Heart Touching Story

I went there 4 years ago in a "volunteers group  for support sick kids" dance trip from Puerto Rico to Orlando. I remember my heart got touched that day.

"Quick" is no doubt relative in this circumstance. It will be Quick compared to how long the Clips took to do it.

The dont have to give us this year's pick, the could send us their 2014 pick.
