A lot of good picks being made - you can definitely tell that you guys have more experience than the guys over on our Magic board did. A lot more thought is put in to the teams and when guys are picked.

However, considering this is going to probably end up being the first fantasy sport of any kind that I have not been able to complete a trade...I do like the way my team is looking.

Anyone have any thoughts? I'll trade feedback for feedback.

PG Russell Westrbook
SG JJ Redick
SF
PF Serge Ibaka
C Nikola Pekovic

HC: Greg Popovic

Think you picked a coach way to early and your quality of players are suffereing because of it.

Im not sure if i love Reddic on your team, but he should help Westbrook out by being able to spread the floor. Just doesnt look like a team Popovich would coach. As of now, you really only have 1 player who can score the ball. Thats a big issue.

I think you need more athletes to be able to run with Westbrook.

Nikola Pekovic can score. Ibaka is getting better. You don't need too many scorers around Westbrook though. He's that type of player.

Not sure if you're serious with the defense. What separates Beal from the chuckers in the league is the mindset. He makes quick and accurate decisions and is efficient in doing so. Beal is much more developed then Lamb. Lamb is a question mark without a doubt. I draft for athleticism but I also draft intangibles and smarts.

well i disagree a little there. I think Lamb is the safer choice because he is fundamentally a more sound player at this point that Beal.

Beal has a higher sealing for sure. But I don't see the comparisons to to Ray Allen as of right now. Kind of in the Eric Gordon mold. Beal has a nice shooting form but it didn't translate to impressive college #'s.

Lamb on the other hand was the second best player on a national championship team. His length will make him a good defender in this league.

Considering where beal was picked i think Lamb was a solid choice with the available 2 guards out there

Fury, you see a deal where I can land Paul w/o giving up Dirk?

Beal shot 45% for the field and 34% from 3pt vs Lamb 48% from field and 34% from 3pt. This one is pretty close however Lamb does shoot 60% from 2pt range vs 54% Beal.

Defense-Beal used his strength to offset his lack of height against opponents in college however this will be a struggle in the NBA. Lamb will initially struggle with strength but should still be dangerous in passing lanes. Furthermore, over time, Lamb will get stronger and has potential to be an elite defender.

Lamb’s ability to get his shot both in the midrange and all the way to the basket is much better than Beal who, to this point, has shown an inability to create his own shot.

Yep. He built towards his strengths. Pekovic is one of the best offensive rebounders in the game. Since when is Westbrook a dishing PG?

Completely disagree. The only real reason the team won a championship was the PG that entered the draft that year. Beal showed up in the tournament while Lamb went out in shame. Beal is stronger, better defensively, a better leader, and smarter in how he attacks. Lamb has good moves but often settles for bad shots.

I just feel like Lamb like players are available even currently in this draft. They arent hard to come by.

no one said he was a dishing PG. But giving him the freedom to just throw up 30 shots is not going to be a winning strategy in my eyes. One of his best assets (his defense) will be non existent if he has to do that much on the offensive end.

Not having a #2 option is tough

Agree with MP.

Even the best scorers in the league need somone else who can score to take some pressure off of them.

It's the way you build around scoring PGs (Rose, Iverson). Even Joe Dumars barely scored more than Pekovic does when they won those titles.

How much does Ibaka average with Durant, Westbrook AND Harden on the team? I think as the second option? 30 mins a game? He'd get 17.
