I guess if you can carry him for the first 15 weeks and still be in a position to make the playoffs he's a genius pick. Personally, I am not confident in my ability to do that. I'm not totally risk averse by any means (See: Bogut, Andrew) but, Rose was just too much downtime in this league for my tastes. Plus if Chicago is looking like they will miss the playoffs anyway, Rose may never suit up.

If we still had an IL I'd have snapped him up though.
