Sam Holbrook is the same umpire who ejected Greinke earlier this year after 4 pitches.

I hope one of those bottles hits Holbrook as he runs off like the bitch ass coward he is.

This is exactly why I was hoping some of those teams would have been playing harder against the Cards. They are so deadly in the playoffs.

Showalter trolling O's fans hard by starting Saunders. It's going to suck for them when he gives up 8 in 3 innings and the Orioles win 75 games next season.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing when I saw he was pitching. As GJ stated, that is a Suppan move.

I'm just popping in to say I don't think I've ever been so embarrassed for someone as when I heard Ernie say, "Here's looking at Yu, Darvish."

Dammit, Johnson.

I wanted the O's to win all along...I know I shouldn't because they've had a ton of success and are multimillionaires, but I feel really bad for the Rangers.

Also: Cy Saunders.

The 1 game playoff was a nice thought, but overall its pretty terrible. They should really just add a team to make it a 6 team playoffs, with series of 3-5-7-7. It wouldnt add much in regards to time, and it would be more fair.

Ten days ago, the Rangers had the best record in the American League. Today, their season is over.

The wild-card game worked fine in the AL because Texas and Baltimore needed a tiebreaker anyway. But the idea of the Braves basically losing a 7-game lead that took them a whole season to build because of one game, in the last game of Chipper's career, against the Cards of all people, makes me sick.

I don't really support expanding the playoffs in any way I can think of. One wild-card is enough, in case the two best teams happen to be in the same division.

Best of three makes a lot more sense, I do like the extra wild card though.

Without it the end of this year wouldn't have been exciting at all as a Brewer fan.

The one-game playoff worked in the ratings, but clearly failed for the game of baseball itself. For the Braves' season to come crashing down because of one of the worst calls ever seen in baseball is hideous. A six month season comes to an end because Sam Holbrook is a ****ing moron is insulting, and really makes a mockery of the regular season itself.

I'm fine with a second wild card. But the fact that the wild card round isn't a series is a joke. Three game series, the division winners essentially get an All-Star Break before the playoffs start. Or you start the other two division series close to the same time as the wild card rounds.

Instead, it's a gimmick. A gimmick that cost the Braves their season.

LOL, the Barves didn't even deserve to be in that game with the way they played.

I'm fine with the way it worked out.
