The nail is already in the coffin for Harper. We have too many PFs and he has just shown nothing from day one.

My guess is to get down to 15 we'll cut Eyenga, Johnson and Harper and send Jones to the d-league.

I think McRoberts may be the backup PF until Harrington comes back, I'm not sure Nicholson is ready yet.

I'll say the opening night rotation is

PG-Nelson/Moore
SG-Afflalo/Redick
SF-Turkoglu/Richardson
PF-Davis/McRoberts
C-Ayon/Vucevic

The draft picks will start out of the rotation, Q will drop out when Harkless is back, Harrington will take the backup PF role when he is back (assuming he is still here by then) and it is kind of up in the air if Ish will be the backup PG. If Moore keeps playing well, he may end up 3rd string again. But either option is a million times better than Duhon.

You do realize we are rebuilding. Saying someone isn't ready yet isn't a legit excuse not to play them.

I think it's too soon to make a judgement on Harper as well. The dude has played crap for minutes. I think he's someone that could be groomed to be a good back up PF. Vaughn should capitalize on this pre season and play him and other players who are on the fence of either leaving or staying with this team.

Cut Johnson, Jones, Harper, and McRoberts. Send KOQ to D-League.

I got a good laugh in the second half while thinking about all those posts about Nicholson and Quinn actually starting games in the NBA. These dudes are both projects. I wish the Magic kept Big Baby Orton. He has potential, but I heard he went to the Thunder with Liggins. Sure was nice of Henny to give up two very nice youth with much potential to his former team for free.

What potential does Orton have except the potential to foul out on any given night?

When Dwight first got injured, Orton actually got playing time. He passed the ball fairly well with decent vision and has a very nice 15' to 17' jumper. As far as defense, he wasn't bad either with quick enough hands, but body positioning wasn't perfect that needed gametime to develop. But, it was enough to impress me as a someone that can still develop into a rotational player. I am real interested to see how he does with the Thunder.

Henny needs to make a trade happen with the Clips hahaha. Always been a big fan of Bledsoe, but it finally looks like he is ready for some big mins.

That's what sucks for him though

I'm sure teams will be calling the Clips about him this year.

From Hollinger this AM:

"Random stuff: Hearing undrafted Sixers rookie Maalik Wayns had strong camp and could win backup PG job. "

Still disappointed Henny didn't sign this guy.

Just sucks that we really have nothing they would want outside of probably Afflalo & Harrington.

I think I heard/read that Henny did make him an offer but he rejected it to play for his hometown team. Can't knock him for that.

Well f*&@ that guy then. :D. Now that you mention it, I do remember reading that, but do hold Henny and Jameer responsible for not selling the guy on the Magic.

Seriously? :eek1:

Liggins was an okay defender that was offensively inept. He couldn't do anything productive on the offensive end of the floor. And Orton is in worse shape than Big Baby. Liggins may be able to stick like Keith Bogans if he can develop a long range shot, but Orton is out of the league in a year.

BMP's really jumped the shark now. He's so desperate to continue his vendetta following the Dwight trade that he's actually trying to re-write history and suggest Daniel Orton showed flashes of quality with the Magic.

I think Orton is better than this Quinn guy though. But, we won't know until they play a while.

And, Liggins gonna prove ya'll wrong for another team!!!
