I just hate when guys are cut so long after their last fight. The regional promotion game is different. Need more fights to survive. A guy like Attonito who hasn't fought in forever being released after like a year has to be super tough. That is a year worth of fights gone, of your career just gone, potentially 4+ fights income.

I mean if this were a random thing, then meh. But they take forever to do it sometimes. Took forever to release Torres, for example.

MMAjunkie reports that Dana said Gus/Shogun is title eliminator fight.

What does that make Hendo/Machida if true?

Considering Hendo pulled out of his title fight awhile after he had sustained an injury (which ultimately resulted in 151 having to be cancelled) and Machida already turned down a fight with Jones, it wouldn't be terribly surprising to see the Shogun/Gustafsson winner jumping ahead and getting the next title shot at 205.

Shogun turned down that fight as well, fwiw. But yea, makes sense I guess.

Do you guys know when they're announcing fights in 2013? I'm trying to see every NBA stadium with my dad, and we're trying to see if we can fit a new NBA stadium and a UFC event into the same weekend.

That's an awesome challenge. How many have you been to?

I find the best source for fight annoucements is just using wikipedia. Every fighter has their fanboys that fanatically update their pages or the official event page as soon as any news comes out.

We've been to 16 Stadiums. I was using Wiki, but there's nothing past 155.

Cool man. A lot of newspapers lately have been saying that Johnson could play a spoiler in the general election.

I'm not sure who is getting murdered in that fight.

Forrest isn't murdering anyone these days and hasn't finished a fight in 5 years.

So, I guess, Forrest is getting murdered? But Te Huna isn't that good. Certainly not good enough to be above a fight with Forrest Griffin, who would be his biggest win by far, supplanting...Joey Beltran?

Still not a fight I really want to see though, and not one that is likely to happen. Te Huna is just campaigning for a fight way above his pay grade.

Probably gonna be a money rematch for Forrest. Rashad, Bonnar, and I would have said Rampage, but it seems like they will go ahead with the Rampage/Glover fight, which makes more sense.
