Weren't we all praising Coach Wit because of his mentality that "the best players start/finish the game"?

Seems starting Ariza would be in direct conflict with that (even though it probably did come from Ted).

Nene won't start, but it's a sign of encouragement that he's been upgraded as he's dealing with the dreaded plantar fasciitis. His foot problems will likely last throughout the year as he's been dealing with the plantar fasciitis since last season, and we'd recommend letting another owner draft Nene considering his uncertain long-term outlook.

Wsh. could give a look at Shaun Livingston to backup John Wall.

Nene, who was originally listed as "out" for the season opener on Wednesday, has been upgraded to a game-time decision, according to Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio, but the Wizards and Randy Wittman have both denied that is accurate.

This is a weird situation that is only getting weirder. Nene's foot problems will likely last throughout the year as he's been dealing with the plantar fasciitis since last season, and we'd recommend letting another owner draft Nene considering his uncertain long-term outlook. It doesn't sound like Nene is close to returning despite the Fox Sports Ohio report.

I'm still putting my WAG at game 4, Fri, Nov 9 against MIL with some announcement of him returning to practice after the Sat, Nov 3 Boston game which is the home opening. Now that the season has started, I expect to get more details about an ETA. Same with Kevin.

Maybe Ariza turns it on once the season starts, with a longer end game of seeming desirable enough to be traded, and also looking ahead to his next and perhaps last contract. I never understood why he was considered such a valuable veteran; he looked good early in his career and playing in LA's system, but he seemed to become a more selfish jacker after he signed his current deal, and I know nothing about his off court presence. Still, I can see someone getting depressed if they were traded to the Wizards. Hopefully he tries to adjust to his current reality.

Another season, another year of Buck mispronouncing Anderson Varejao's name like a drunken Frenchman.

LOVE these transition 3s. Smart plays by both Beal to kick out to Price and Price now to Beal.

Competitive start so far. Both Beal and Waiters playing really nicely.

Yeah Beal

Started off tentative, all it takes is one make to get him going

Ariza and Crawford are going to shoot us out of a lot of games early i think.

Booker way too frenetic on those two shots. See the backet, then shoot, Trevor. No more of that 180 fading hook.

Price just isn't a good PG. Not a bad shooter, but doesn't have the handle or speed.

They better start rebounding or this game will get out hand quickly. No way they'll keep up that outside shooting.
