What about the Wizard's 7'0 Vesely and Booker for DW?

I would never take a baggage player along with Redick. He's a free agent the coming summer and is not guaranteed to resign. If it's just JJ for DW then it's fine.

:jawdrop: ... if management agrees with you, DW will never be traded and we'll let him walk.

There don't seem to be many teams that could actually use this guy. That really sums him up, horrible player.

Kahn has had a pretty poor time drafting....
Williams over Kanter, Valanciunas, Walker, Klay Thompson, etc
Let Motiejunas, Parsons, and Mirotic all slip through his hands
Drafted Wes Johnson
Drafted Johnny Flynn and Ty Lawson, and traded the wrong one.

I like his free agency decisions though.

He's not nearly as horrible as you make him out to be. But he's a horrible fit here for sure.

Yeh ... agree. I dooo think there is something said for Loves early return and the likelihood that DWS is close to being on the move. The guy just does not have a fit nor does his style fit Adelman.

What NBA teams do you think he could start for and play 30+ mpg? I bet it's less than a handful.

I would say he makes sense for bad team that don't have much going for them at the moment. Wizzards come to mind, they just started freaking Vesely yesterday.

That's one team in the league. He couldn't even start for Orlando.

Maybe Dallas would like another reclamation project.

Actually I could see him doing it in Orlando. BBD is a bad player with no potential and Nicholson is a rookie who was a late pick for a reason. Williams is not worse than these 2.

Sadly, Williams would be an upgrade over anything we have at Small Forward in Raptorland.

I changed my vote to option #1. We arent going to even play him, obviously Adelman doesnt like him and he isnt good anyway, might as well get rid of him for something. Another wasted pick by the Wolves, not their fault, he just never panned out. Imagine if he did, our team would be great.

Same. We're not going anywhere with Malcolm Lee starting at SG. Shved could start there, but we still desperately need talent at that position. Trade Williams for the best available SG while that 23 point game from him is still somewhat fresh in the minds of GMs... Won't happen, though.

Either Williams to Orlando for Redick straight-up, or I found this interesting on the trade board:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1215487

Boston receive: Ridnour, Williams, Ariza.
Boston trade: Lee, Green, Melo, Collins, Joseph, 2013 1st round pick (should be around the 20's), future 2nd round pick.

Minnesota receive: Lee, Melo, Collins, Jo.Crawford, BOS 1st.
Minnesota trade: Williams, Ridnour.

Washington receive: Green, Joseph, 2nd round pick from Boston.
Washington trade: Ariza, Jo. Crawford.

Lee played under Adelman for a year in Houston, and he has been underachieving in Boston, causing him to be replaced in the starting line-up by Jason Terry.

I could do without Jordan Crawford and his horrible FG%, but cutting Williams and Ridnour loose while gaining a decent SG and a pick sounds good to me.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

Williams/Ridnour to Orlando seems most plausible. Either for Afflalo or Redick.

Minny trades D.WILLIAMS, STIEMSMA, MALCOLM LEE for SERAPHIN, VESELY & C. LEE

Washington trades SERAPHIN, VESELY & CRAWFORD for D.WILLIAMS & MALCOLM LEE
