I'm sitting there watching the offense seeing that Beal doesn't seem to have a good idea where he needs to be to fill the open spaces on the floor. Whenever Kevin or Nene has the ball down low, he doesn't ever present himself as a target for them to kick it out to. He's also definitely a victim of seemingly very little offensive playcalling, which appears to be mostly isolation.

A lot to work on, but an encouraging game IMO.

Exactly he needs wall badly but he's also learning i think i would be lost also at the tender age of 19. Beal will be alright glad to see him doing better 5 for 11 from the floor is pretty good for him . His last made shot he took with a lot of confidences.

Oh yeah. He was excellent.

From his first few games he was scared to shoot or get involve with the offence but tonight he took shots with confidence. He still learning getting use to the nba. Put some good nba players around Beal and he be doing just fine.

I think hands was being sarcastic. Beal started off pretty bad with those two back to back turnovers. Most of his points came when the game was lost, but he still played over 30 mins. Randy really needs to start Webster at SG.

I think I'm going to spend some more time watching Knicks games. The Wizards are just an eyesore. I think the Knicks lack the interior D to contend, but at least they share the ball, play good D, and occasionally run. The Wizards are a slow-motion car crash with Nene trapped in the back seat, looking terrified.

Yay, the beginning of a new streak!!! I'm glad the Wiz got that monkey off their back. It must have given them a lot of confidence because they came in the game tonight looking like all they had to do was show up to win.

Very depressing yearfor us but a top 5 pick can help ease my pain. Knowing the wizards we go on are late season run and miss out on the top 5 pick.

Deck chairs on the Titanic for the umpteenth time.

There is no way to line up an overall bad set of players to produce better results. Period. Full stop.

E.g. the problem isn't *when* we play Vesely but that we have to play him at all. Ditto the majority of the squad -- terrible players.

Because that's all he took, Hands. He didn't take any more. Among other things there were defenders on the floor. We weren't just going into the front court and deciding who should shoot. This isn't football.

Do you really imagine that coach puts him in but says "whatever you do, Martell -- don't take a lot of shots."

+1. This team is crap...line-up changes are not going to make any difference.

I hope those fairweather fans on Wed who were celebrating like it was new years and proclaiming a 20 game win streak have come back down to earth. This was a horrible performance. Can't wait for Miami on Tuesday

I'm out of town and wasn't able to see the game. But judging from the box score it seems obvious why we lost:

we let the Knicks shoot an eFG% of almost 60%. They got 98 points out of 81 shots.

We took only 3 fewer shots than they did. But we got 23 fewer points out of them.

We are a terrible team, and we won't be competitive most of the time, and we'll win rarely.

Indeed, we could win many more games if we fielded a better line-up. Unfortunately, we're only allowed to play our own players, so there's no real way to do it!

I never thought I'd be visiting the draft sites this-early, but sadly that is what I am going to do.

Yea, that column on the left that lists the names of the players on each team pretty much tells the whole story.

I'll tune back in when Wall finally makes it back to the lineup, until then I'm taking a Wizards hiatus. Just too damn depressing to watch this, and worse, get insulted by Ted with his comical brand of propaganda.

PIF

All I did was post a question. It was a question out of frustration. It was an observation. Nothing more. I made no analysis of why it was. Webster has a good shot and he can handle the ball pretty well. He can even drive to the hoop. With his feet set on the outside. He is pretty much money. And this team needs help scoring. So I asked in 23 minutes, why didn't he get more then 4 shot attempts.

So let read your insightful answers.

Thats all he took.
He didnt take any more.
There are defenders on the floor
We ran no plays for him and there is no way to run plays for him.

I think you could probably come up with a more in depth analysis then that without much effort.
