In my opinion, this would be a great trade for us. Sully can be a real stating 4 in this league ( not like Morris, role player) he is 20 years old and he is playing very good right now.
And Bradley, he can be an All Star. 22 years old, Celtic fans love him because he is an outstanding defender and he is geting better and better in offense very quickly. If he is totally recovered, we would have great backcourt (Dragic-Bradley) for years to come.

Bass OR Lee would be decent players to come off the bench on a "decent/not bad" contract.

^^you beat me to it Kerrsed, I was already starting to sniff around to see if the guy has an actual ear to anything.

That trade sounds terrible, too. A little worried about a Gortat trade right now since he's severely underperforming this year. And definitely not to the C's without at least Bradley coming back, as others have said. Yikes...

That's sort of what I think as well. I'm not grouping all the Celtics fans into one group but there was a lot of attitude the last week or two from Celtics fans thinking they could acquire Gortat for spare parts/almost nothing.

One interesting key sidenote in his post is that he said "Boston will lose out on this deal if someone swoops in and agrees to take back Channing Frye as well."

So i take it we want to dump Frye. Now who would take him in an attempt to land the Gortat? Orlando?

Back to the Boston idea, if we could flip Lee to a 3rd team, that would be great.

BOS get Gortat
MIN get Lee
PHX get Sullinger/Melo/Williams/BOS future 1st (2014)

Came up with this last week. Maybe we send Shannon to Boston and we keep Dudley.

I dont get all the posts where people are trying Dudley for a shooting guard. Any team that would want Dudley straight up would be someone who NEEDS a shooting guard. Its rather elementary to understand the likely-hood of swapping 2 guys are the same position is rather slim unless one team is tossing in picks or something.

So we get the dreaded Beasley-Derrick Williams combo? I'm sure it's all speculation at this point but I agree perhaps Boston would be more keen on taking Shannon Brown in a scenario like that if they give up Bradley and Lee.

I think Boston would be more apt to taking Dudley rather than Brown. Dudley is a Celtic-type of player. Doing all the little things and providing a defensive presence. He is also a 2 spot player (SG/SF), something Brown is definitely not (SG all the way). Brown is just like Lee in every facet of the game. If they wanted Brown, they could just sign him as a FA next year, or even easier, just keep Lee.

Dudley also has the Boston following. He was a favorite when he was playing at Boston College. If the Celtics can bring him back to his former glory, his contract is a steal.

Celtics would definitely take Dudley over Brown, there is no question about it.

Dudley is a catch and shoot + spot up SF first SG second who plays good defense.

A team with an elite Playmaker and stars that need doubling will benefit Dudley a lot.

Suns do not have a player to double or an elite play maker and Dudley has suffered.

The Nets for example would benefit with a Dudley - Brooks trade. Brooks need the ball as he can create his own shots in PHX he would help the offensive power greatly... Dudley next Deron and Joe and Brook will get open looks all game.

Well put in regards to Dudley. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Phx/LAC

PHX out -

Gortat
Dudley
Marshall

PHX in -

Bledsoe
Jordan

I doubt his would ever happen because of the Griffin/Jordan bromance , but I thought I would post it anyway. Clips cash in on Bledsoe, get rid of Jordan albatross contract, and get a center who can run the pick and roll with Billups/Paul. They also get to bring Crawford/Dudley/Hill off the bench, giving them one of the best backcourt rotations in the league. Marshall gets the opportunity to learn behind one of the great passers in the game.

Suns get two nasty, exciting young athletes. Jordan doesn't demand the ball on offense, and without BG around would certainly see an uptick in his rebounding statistics. Jordan's defensive presence might mask some of the deficiencies that Beasley and Morris bring at the PF spot. Bledsoe could start at the 1, and the Suns could slide Dragic over to fill the gaping hole at the 2.

Could also expand the trade to include Johnson/Scola for Butler. Making it Bledsoe/Jordan/Butler for Gortat/Dudley/Scola/Johnson. That would free up an extra 4 million for the clips to resign Paul and some talent around him next year.

In that scenario, the Suns would also have 12.5 million expiring next year between Butler/Brown.

Suns -
Bledsoe/Bassy
Dragic/Brown
Butler/Tucker
Morris/Beasley
Jordan/O'neal

Clips (I don't really know their rotation)-
Paul/Crawford
Billups/Dudley
Odom/Hill/Barnes
Griffin/Scola
Gortat/Turiaf

I'd much rather get a similar player in Avery Bradley intead of taking on Jordan's deal, even though I like both players and the concept.

Chicago? For Boozer + CHI 1st + CHA 1st? Babby isn't that stupid, right?

Ralphb07 wrote:Sorry I haven't been as involved as in the past but life has been pretty crazy for me. Things are semi settling down but here's the stuff I've been hearing the past month.

Nets asked about Boozer and Belinelli. Interest in Boozer is mild. I heard Orlando has interest in Boozer too. With Hamilton I heard the Cavs.

I also heard we've been talking to the Suns about Gortat and Dudley. The Bulls feel Noah can play PF just fine. Al Jefferson is being talked about as well

Before the Raptors signed Pietrus they called us about Belinelli

There's some other stuff too but that's the basics. I'd have to scroll through my text but I think Redick was talked about as well.

I know the Bulls, Bucks and Kings were talking some three way where the Bulls got Jimmer.

That's cute. If the Bulls want Gortat, they definitely will not be able to keep Noah. Suns FO isn't that stupid.

Unless D-Rose....jk

We are hearing all these celtics talk...
And it sounds legit..

But nothing from Thunder?

What's happening with them?
They are winning... But surely they think Gortat is an upgrade from Perkins.

Very interesting that when Gortat spoke to the Polish media and mentioned that Orlando/Chicago/Boston/Dallas had interest in him, we were all like WTF? Then people with sources for both the Celtics and the Bulls have mentioned that they have heard about their teams making offers or at least exploring the idea of obtaining Gortat. It shows that Gortat and his agent were speaking the truth and all of this actually has some legs.

We are a lowly losing team. Gortats not going to be happy knowing that some winning teams really want him, but he is stuck with us for the meantime. His play on the court has become even more lackluster since his remarks to the media. In my eyes, Gortat has given up on us and is trying to push us to trade him. I feel like we will never see the Gortat that we once had ever again. His defense has gone from good to piss-poor (http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2012/ ... -its-worst) and even with more touches on offense, he really hasnt made a impact or made a case as to why he should be getting more plays for him.

Its time to take the best trade available. My question is, we have heard what the supposed frame work for a Boston or Chicago trade would be, but what about Orlando and Dallas?

In my opinion to Boston for Bradley/Sullinger/whatever is the best option. I hope that one Celtic's fan rumor about Bradley not being included is fake and just wishful thinking.

Another interesting thought is that the poster from the Bulls board mentioned that Orlando wants Boozer. Bulls want Gortat and want to trade Boozer for him, but we dont want/need Boozer. Maybe a 3 way with Gortat/Dudley going to Chicago, Boozer going to Orlando, and us getting Afflalo/Vucevic/O'Quinn/Bulls pick/Magic pick ?

Rose/Rip/Deng/Noah/Gortat

Nelson/Redick/Hedo/Boozer/Big Baby

Dragic/Telfair/Marshall
Afflalo/Brown/Johnson
Beasley/Tucker
Morris/Scola/O'Quinn
O'Neal/Vucevic/Zeller

We would then be surrounding Beasley with defense. Afflalo has the speed and size to guard both SG/SF spots. Vucevic is a young stud that is still learning, but is already putting up numbers close to Gortats on a rookie scale contract. He can also learn a thing or two coming off the bench behind O;Neal, who has been playing STELLAR for us. And for the record, i have a man-crush on O'Quinn. He hasnt done much in the league (hasnt gotten the minutes), but was a BEAST in college. He is a dirt-worker and is Tucker in a 6'10 PF body. I would also prefer if the Bulls pick and/or the Magic pick was 2014 or 2015, as we dont need 6 picks in the very very weak 2013 draft.
