I wish Duncan to win another MVP , but I see Lebron James is truly the only candiate.

Lebron is still the front runner , pretty comfortably as well. Durant second i would say or maybe Duncan.

I'd be pretty shocked if Lebron doesn't win again this season.

Thing about lebron is the game
Just seems so efforess for him right now. He basically does whatever he wants on the court. Teams play at his tempo

The biggest reasons for LeBron James not to win another Most Valuable Player award are:

1. It will be his fourth award in five years. Not even Michael Jordan won it at such a rate.
2. His team is even more stacked than before, with the offseason additions of Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis paying dividends.

top five to make a (very little) change at the MVP expect from lebron

1. Kevin Durant
2. Carmelo Anthony (if he keeps playing like a team player and not only a scorer)
3. Kobe Bryant (top scorer in the league right now, only 100 points shy of being the youngest to score 30.000 points)
4. Rajon Rondo (if his team starts playing like one of the greatest franchises should be playing like)
5. Chris Paul (the Clippers are the best team in LA at the moment, and the best PG in the game makes it all happen)

This just seems like Durant's award this year. He is more statistically dominant this season than he was last year while Lebron is less statistically dominant this year. Lebron's numbers would have to blow Durants out of the water for him to win it this year.

Does Duncan disappear?

Or do you now know who he is?

I'm not a Kobe fan

Give it to Tim Duncan.

This is considered baiting. This is your only warning.

EDIT: Wait...how many warnings do you already have against your record? Wow.

I get the feeling some of the guys saying Lebron haven't even been paying much attention to the other candidates so far this season. The MVP is a performance based award not merely an ability based one, so making the assumption that Lbj gets it just cos he's the best well rounded player in the Nba is wrong. He's been taking it easy, hasn't dominated the regular season as of yet. KD is the rightful MVP at this point of the season.

The only argument I may agree on for Lebron being mentioned over KD is his game winning performances this season combined with his team record (but KD also has a good team record anyway). With Wade's half assed play, he's really the major reason Miami have a top record. His play still isn't "miles" away from the other candidates though and I'll still give it to KD.

Durant should be ahead of LeBron at this point because even if his numbers are equivalent, the tie should go to the player who puts forth more effort, which is clearly Durant at this point. LeBron's team does have the best record in the league though with the hardest schedule, so he's clearly doing something right.

Also, I'm not even 100% sure that Duncan shouldn't be the leader anyway. He's 0.17 PER behind Durant, his team has a better record, and his defensive impact as a power forward/center is clearly more important given that the Spurs and OKC have the exact same defensive efficiency, but Duncan doesn't have Ibaka and Thabo in his starting lineup to sway that number.

I'm not sure how many people in this thread arguing one way or the other realize just how well Duncan is playing.

Durant shot 13 times and sat out the 4th quarter in a blow out last night. Another stat padding performance

It really should be Lebron's 4th MVP. LeBron is definitely more important to the Heat than Durant to the Thunder.

I disagree, the Heat could just slide Ray Allen in the line up if Bron sat out

No not at all. LeBrons control of the court and his defense can't be replaced by anyone. Especially Ray

No offense, but you're also a huge Lebron basher.

You take LeBron off the Heat and Wade goes back to the 26/5/7 player he used to be
