Byron "Don't Call me BJ" Mullens :D

But yeah I thought it was interesting how pro our commentary crew they were.

I love how Mully was Leigh Ellis's fantasy sleeper and the way he seems to watch plenty of our games as he usually knows what Mullens's performance was like.

Anyway, yesterday they all agreed that they love the way Bobcats games are broadcast. Steve Martin supposedly is a great play-by-play announcer, both he and Dell are up to date with everything happening around the league, Steph is a good sideline reporter and we play plenty of highlights for both teams as well as our guys will give credit to the road team's players. I found it interesting that they should say so. I had never thought about our crew being very good.

i dont have league pass any more but based on all the games i've watched on LP over the years, i'd agree that bobcats crew is among the better crews in the league. uncle steve make lovable mistakes, but he has been doing this for a long time. he knows his hoops. dell is getting much better each game. he is much more willing to be critical now compared to his first year. dell is also just a big fan of the game and you can tell that he appreciates watching other teams. it seems that steph curry has been feeding dell scouting reports on players as well. and you know dell watches a lot of golden state games, so he is seeing a lot of other games besides bobcats, which probably helps him sound less of a homer. and of course there is steph ready, who is of course the best in the business at what she does.

as for my favorite local broadcast crew... you cannot beat the warriors crew. they are fantastic and the main reason the warriors are my 2nd favorite team. i loved watching the warrior games so much because of their crew that when i had LP i watched all their games.

Yep, Jim Barnett is among the best sports announcers, period. Fitzgerald can get on my nerves though, I liked the duo of Barnett and Greg Papa back in the day.

As far as other team announcers go, I really like Stu Lantz because he will be blunt about the way the Lakers are playing. If somebody deserves criticism, he won't shy away.

are you back? awesome. just in time for me to disappear for december. :)

here's what you missed
- bobcats play way over their heads and start 7-4
- bobcats lose next 6
- bobcats blow 18pt lead with 5 minutes to play vs blazers, dunlap blew the game by playing kemba, sessions and gordon together in crunchtime
- bobcats blow 7pt lead with few minutes to play vs knicks, including 4 turnovers in last 2 minutes
- ben gordon goes nuts in 3 games with 6, 7 and 8 3pters in those games, but he is invisible most of the other times
- jeff taylor had 5 or 6 straight double figure games and looks to be a young bruce bowen and is up to #5 on rookie rankings
- MKG cant stay on the court due to foul trouble. he picks up 3 fouls in the 1st half of nearly every game
- dunlap
- mully wont stop shooting 3s despite making only 28%
- biz had a fantastic game vs the sixers with 14pt and he drew 4 fouls down low
- kemba gave lillard the business for 3.5 quarters and gave felton the business for 3.5 quarters.
- the hornets are changing their name to the pelicans next season, so its pretty much guaranteed the bobcats will change to the hornets in the next 2 years.
- the founder of mcafee went nuts
- jazz legend dave bruebeck died
- chelsea fired yet another coach
- the lakers are a trainwreck
- ive been sick for the past two weeks
- sachmo still doesnt know how to sticky and unsticky game threads ;)
- diop is still awful
- hakim warrick is worse than tyrus
- matt carroll was traded and then waived and is currently unemployed (yet still getting paid)
- david lee and anderson varejao are having a career years
- wade looks old
- sons of anarchy season finale was disappointing.
- and of course, kate middleton is pregnant and everyone in england is going mad about it.

i think thats it

Didn't you enjoy Gana knocking down three jumpers last night? I swear it's the first time I've seen him hit more than one of those in a single game.

Just flew back into Ottawa yesterday. Had an amazing month in Oz.

here's what you missed

Thanks Fats!

- I watched the Knicks game in LA. Crappy arse ending.
- I watched the Bucks game last night too. Wish I hadn't.
- Thank GOD I didn't see the Blazers game.
- Good to see Kemba coming along.
- What's going up with MKG's fouls? Are they lazy fouls, bad calls or is he just a tad eager?
- Warrick is that bad? Really? I thought he would be fantastic in the P&R with Kemba as a mini Amare?
- We should make sure Howard deducts some pay from Sachmo's next pay packet.
- JT - better than Hendo? Different than Hendo? Not as good as Hendo?
- Mully is a hack. Is he scoring in the post at all yet? I did see the LMA dunk though. That was nasty.
- Biz is a bum. What's the use of having a 19ft reach if you dont extend when you rebound and try and catch every ball at chest height every time? If he rebounded and caught passes with the extension he uses when he blocks shots he might be ok. He also looked TINY compared to Tyson Chandler
- Hammer and his family have moved in with me. Things are a little tight for them. I have moved my wife out of our bed and Hammer and I are spooning nightly.
- We FINALLY get out uni's looking pretty decent (LOVE the road dark blue's - just got to get rid of that light blue) and we are going to change back to that crappy teal and purple? #Bobcats4life
- Looking forward to drying out after a crazy month (check out my facebook pics).
- Not happy about leaving Oz and the nice weather and sitting here today looking out the window watching it snow.....

I think it's a little bit of all of them. He was getting a hardcore rookie treatment from refs earlier, but last night, there were a couple of lazy fouls as well. He'll turn it around no question.
BigSlam wrote: JT - better than Hendo? Different than Hendo? Not as good as Hendo?
Hendo has been nothing short of excellent since he returned and Taylor has hit the rookie wall if you ask me. Hendo's shooting 60% from deep on two attempts per game this season. :o Henderson's still getting worked back from the foot injury, but he'll be starting again soon.

I like the new jerseys a lot, but I am absolutely stoked to see the Hornets unis back here. :droop:

He's got a ton to work on, but he's showing brief flashes just like he did last year.

I hit the 5000 posts mark on two different forums (the only two I actually post regularly on) on the same day. :o
Damn I post here way too often.

I lurked for like a month or so and then made an account and post a lot on the GB and trade board. Kind of surprised by the 16 posts a day number, but what can I say, I pretty much live and die by basketball. :D

I'm sure a ton of those posts came over the summer when I was bored out of my mind on campus taking summer classes.
