I'm actually starting to get hype for his return as opposed to cautiously optimistic.

He can't hurt...the guy is a monster player and he gives us the potential to be championship contenders if he adjusts and plays team ball.

Amare Stoudemire (knee) looked "tremendous" during a 90-minute workout prior to Sunday's game, according to beat writer Alan Hahn.
Video of Stoudemire's workout confirms that he was moving quickly and shooting jumpers with apparent ease. He's roughly expected back around Christmas, and possibly sooner, and he's expected to come off the bench and allow Carmelo Anthony to continue starting at PF. The knee injury and subsequent demotion have dented his fantasy appeal, to be sure, but it's time to pluck him off any waiver wires.

Amare comes back with a chip on his shoulder ... I expect for him to be dominate. The best part about his return is that we have 2 weeks at home which = film time and an opportunity for him to sit in on practices. Also in Jan, although I hate it, we have a week off from the 14-20 .. right before the Nets game at MSG.

I think Sheed will compliment Amare well. He can space the floor and hold his own on d, which will open the paint for Amare on pick and rolls (something that Chandler doesn't do). Amare will have 10-15 minutes a night to play without Melo and Tyson and will have the offense run through him. Then, when Melo and Tyson are on the court Amare can be a stretch 4 who can (hopefully) get a few easy baskets in the low block. If we can get 25 good minutes from Amare we become a more dangerous team.

Good. We're going to need him come playoff time, when teams collapse and zone in on a primary scorer, Amare is exactly what we need in a 7 game series in the clutch where every bucket is critical
