He is better than any future versions of Curry too.

Parker is a Finals MVP for christ sake.

First statement is true, though not WAYYY...better, second statement is false because we really, don't know.

I fail to see why, but oh well to each his opinion.

Fischella wrote:Parker is a LOCK as big as Westbrook, stop putting Curry over him, you're crazy man.

Pretty much yeah.
Thunder and Spurs will send 2 players to the ASG, Memphis too.
You first line, that's how people fail college papers, haha. It's not about just saying "this is what I think", it's about backing it up with evidence. Just having a conversation of everyone saying their opinion without support or evidence is of little value.

Parker is better right now, he's not only on a better team but also putting up better numbers. Now. That's not to say that if Curry was on SA, he wouldn't also be on the better tesm, he would, Pop is great, Duncan has been their best player, and they would just be better still. The issue here is that Parker is producing more, 21/4/8 per 36 on .567 TS%, 22.4 PER. Curry has played well lately and is getting back in the groove, but he's as 19/4/6 per 36 on .567 TS%, 19.3 PER

There's no argument for Curry being better or more deserving right now, zero, none!

Al Horford especially if Atalanta keeps this up, is as big a lock as there is to one of the reserve Forward spots in the East.

17 pts, 10 reb (career highs, and that's when he's shooting 55% from the FT line as a career 75% shooter) 3 ast, 1 blk, 1 stl and 54% shooting being the undisputed leader of a legit top 3 team in the East?

He should be the starting Center for the East! (Which won't happen cause voters are idiots) - but not having him on the reserve list for more then a couple of times in this threads?

I'm sorry, and i'm quoting SAS here, but that's just blasphemous. Blasphemous.

If chandler keeps playing like he has the last few weeks i don't see it, we could be looking at a 14/12 player who also is one of the best defenders in the conference. Although i do think Horford should probably make the game either way

Lol I know! but I provided my opinion with numbers and all, and he replies with just a "deserves more". What can I say ? :D

SF: James
PF: Anthony
C: Horford

Bench

All these years of Lee being snubbed should stop this year. Dude averages a double-double almost every year and was shunned because "he did it on a bad team."

Well, we're 14 - 7 now. Without Bogut. Without Rush. Lee has been leading the way for the Warriors in what has been our best start in 63917383722 years. He has been putting up really big games and has been doing everything to validate why he should be an All-Star. I hope he makes it. As much as I can dislike the guy sometimes, he plays hard every single game.

^I don't think Lee has been snubbed as an All-Star with the Warriors. If any Warriors got snubbed in previous years it's Baron Davis and Monta Ellis.

Lee should get some consideration this season, though. I didn't even expect him to be playing this good before the season started. He kind of took me by surprise.

David Lee had 25 points, not 24.

The 71% FG shooting is right, though. What's surprising is that his high percentage games aren't just coming off layups, he's been swishing a bunch of mid-range shots, too.

I think Lee will get even better when (or if) Bogut comes back. Bogut is a good passer, he'll get a decent amount of assists to Lee down low which means Lee will get some easier looks. I'm hoping they make a good frontcourt tandem.
is that surprising considering he can shoot, or? I know he's never shot a super high percentage from mid-range, but he's a good enough shooter that he can have stretches of nice mid-range shooting.

I've always known he can hit the mid-range shot, what I meant to say is that he seems to be making them more efficiently now. In previous seasons it seemed like he would miss a lot of those shots, or maybe I was just underrating him since the Warriors lost a lot of games.

Update...

West:
Paul, Bryant, Durant, Griffin, Howard
Westbrook, Curry, Parker, Harden, Love, Randolph, Duncan

East:
Rondo, Wade, James, Anthony, Garnett
Williams, Holiday, Pierce, Deng, Bosh, Horford, Chandler

Imo... James Harden <-- Rudy Gay, Tyson Chandler <-- Joakim Noah, Steph Curry <-- David Lee, Paul Pierce <-- Anderson Varejao (cause he´s Paul Pierce and he´s locked forever on the ASG)

These are the guys who I feel deserve it (though I think you could prob replace wade in the east he's been really inconsistent)

Paul
Kobe
Durant
Zbo
Duncan

Rondo
Wade (though I think Irving had he been healthy would have been a better choice because he was putting up great numbers when he did play)
LeBron
Melo
Bosh
Donald Trump is an idiot.

If Bosh outplays KG, East is crystal clear right now.

Rondo-Holiday
Wade-Jennings
Anthony-Pierce
James-Horford-Smith
Bosh-Chandler-Noah

West is more difficult but, there are at least 9 locks.

Paul-Parker
Bryant-Westbrook
Durant
Griffin-Randolph
Howard-Duncan

3 spots left, 1 Warrior is in, probably Lee, maybe another Grizzly, and... who knows? Harden, Mayo, Jefferson...

Irving's team is one of the 3 worst in the league.

No way he deserves a presence in the All Star.

10 game, half of everyone else, terrible shooting percentages, but getting to the line a lot, not sure he should make it if there was an All-Star game tomorrow, but he's an All-Star level player, so who cares.

This ain't the MVP award. It's AN ALL-STAR GAME. Quite frankly he's putting up good numbers and he's the star of the team. He's not going to start but If he doesn't find himself on the bench of that game the ASG will be labeled as a joke.

The ASG will be labeled a joke if a player from not only one of the worst teams in the NBA, but who has missed a ton of games, makes the all-star game over deserving players from better teams. Coaches reward success unless the guy from the bad team in question is just INSANE. To be fair, kyrie is pretty insane, but not enough so to overcome 5-18, especially when you consider how many games he's missed.

If the game was tomorrow, Lee has got to be a lock, right?

Out of all bigs in the West he is 2nd in scoring, 4th in rebounds, and 2nd in assists. His defense has actually been a net positive for the first time in his career, and the Warriors are 5th in the standings.

Way more, your sure ? You'll have to explain that.

Parker is a leader of the current best team in the league, was a top5 mvp candidate last year, will be again a mvp candidate (duncan too if he continues, but I expect Pop to limit Duncan to 27-28 mpg soon).
To say that when Parker just had a triple double (27-12-12)...

Parker is a proven winner, is averaging per36 21pts-3rbds-8asts, and is a better defender than Curry who is at 19pts-3rbds-6asts per36. Parker is the only PG in the league shooting more than 50% (0.513% right now).

I don't see it. Maybe some of you do.

I love that there is so much debate of Parker vs Curry and Curry being mostly left out, while Paul is an absolute lock to everybody when in fact his and Curry's numbers are almost the same and their teams are seperated by 1 win :D ... and you wonder how Kobe is still getting his all NBA defensive teams :D

Why is it so different from and MVP award - every year there has been "does Detroit deserve all 5 starters on the All-Star team, does Boston deserve all 4; Spurs have the best record in the game - they should have more than 2 representative etc. X guy plays on the worst team in the league he should not be on the team, etc."

I think it is time to man up, be objective and consistent and say that Kobe does not deserve to be on All-star game :D All-star game should be called a joke if you had more than 1 Laker if their record keeps up :D
