Haywood is solid under the rim and he's a good 1 on 1 post defender

he isn't mobile and he's a terrible pnr defender. it doesn't help the team's current defensive philosophy

It's more so the cumulation of things. But at the moment he was awfully sure that Reggie was going to knock down both free throws and keep the fans from getting nuggets.
Humble yourself.

I don't know how I feel about Dunlap coaching an NBA team! Starting to think we're worse than last season...I know our defense is.

its just so bizarre. dunlap is supposed to be a defense minded coach. we drafted the two best wing defenders in college. kemba, hendo, biz are all solid defenders. haywood is solid under the rim. we shouldnt be such a bad defensive team. something just doesnt add up.

I think we're too scrambly on defense and switch too much. And sometimes we double when it's not necessary, leaving somebody open. The other team just has to move the ball around and they eventually will get a super-easy shot. Usually a three.

I dont think Kemba added a point or an assist from about the 1/2 way mark of the 2nd qtr.

I went to sleep at the half. Woke up this moring, and Kemba's stat line looks the same, except for minutes played, and about 0-5 in the second half. Looks like we played a lousy final 2 minutes of the 1st half and a pretty bad 2nd half.

He got really, really frustrated by the non-calls and even the rest of his teammates. Not making excuses for him and that's something he's going to have to learn to play through.

Coach Mike Dunlap said before the game that he had told his players to stay attached to Warriors stars Curry and Lee at all cost. If that message was received, it didn’t have much effect: Curry and Lee combined for 18 first-quarter points on 7-of-11 shooting.

i would like to hear more about this from dunlap. how emphatically did he preach this point. did he allow for any exceptions to this in halfcourt sets? i can recall numerous times that kemba (and others) sagged off curry, seemingly for no reason.

so who has the donkeybrains? is it the players or the coach?

I give Dunlap the benefit of doubt. He's new. We know for a fact that Mullens is absolutely (Please Use More Appropriate Word) on defense and only plays hard when he knows he can beat his man with certainty. Also, we know that Gerald can't play offense and defense in the same game.

Just watched the game. I was determined to pay attention to our defensive rotations and stuff off the ball, but got caught up in the excitement in the arena in watching Lee pass the ball around very early in the game. We might have been only down about 10 points for most of the game, but this felt like an easy win for the Dubs.

Oh and Mully was very bad. Props to Dunlap for playing Warrick.
