Ever found yourself sitting there on a Dec Sat night as the snow piles up 4ft deep outside and thought "to hell with it, it is 11:30pm, I am going to eat some chips and salsa"?

more like... its 11:30pm on a tuesday. i look in the fridge and see nothing to eat. im too tired to cook the frozen pizza i have in the freezer. ive been eating sugar all day at work so i dont want to eat the box of lucky charms i have (bought on sale). i see a half eaten bag of tortilla chips in the back of the pantry. i test them out and they are stale but still edible. i go to the fridge and there is a single lonely jar of salsa sitting there next to the leftovers from last week and i say .... "meh, chips and salsa it is"

Seriously. Not only not that bad for you but some how readily available and can justifiably be eaten at any time of the day.

I;m not really a sugar eater, so its not like its a change up, I just love that salty/tomato vibe so much.

Its the gift that keeps on giving.

Considering a trip to the US late next year and seeing a Bobcats game is a must. I'm tossing up whether to catch a road game in one if the bigger cities and planning around that once the schedule is released or to actually stay in Charlotte for a few days and see a home game.

So could anyone give me an idea of what sort of city Charlotte is, what is there is to see/do etc. Is the TWC Arena easily accessible by public transport?

Thanks in advance

From what I can gather there is a train system that runs to places like Greensboro and, I assume, Charlotte. I know it's a pain driving to Charlotte and once you get there it can get messy, I could be wrong about this, but it's worth researching into it.

If you sit in the upper deck you can get tickets for really cheap, that is what we always do and we have a Great time. Of course if you sit in the lower deck tickets are a lot more expensive. Food and beer etc. is pretty expensive but no more expensive than any other arena. I always have a ball when I go whether we win or lose.

FYI: A couple of years ago when I was heading to TO to catch my 1st Bobcats game live I e-mailed our marketing dept to see if I could get any ginger as a Bobcats fan living in Canada going to see them play (I was angling for some locker room passes etc).

They got back to me and said no love because its not their home game but if I ever travelled to Charlotte to contact them and they would hook me up - I still have the head of marketings email to use as ammo when I roll down to Charlotte during the 13-14 season, stay at Fats and Mrs Fats place and teach him how to drink for 72 hours straight.

Of course then Hammer/one of our posters just gave me court side tickets and MVP passes for nothing any way so screw the marketing dept!!

The light rail runs literally right next to the arena. You can park anywhere on that route and ride right up with no worries. But since you'll be flying in, you'll probably be staying somewhere near downtown anyway so just about anything is within walking distance (depending on how lazy you are).

Also, never had any issue driving near or around Charlotte. I live on the SC side in Indian Land/Fort Mill and have no trouble getting to the arena in 10 minutes when I drive. They really did a great job of locating it where it can be accessible by just about any mode of transport.

I don't so much mind driving there but I have a friend who refuses to drive to a Bobcats game so he pays me to drive him. Hey, I'm not going to argue with him. :D

Just spent the last little while listening to "current artists" covering classics.

Can people like "Florence and the Machine" go and get f*cked? Seriously - you really think you can rip the Beatles? THE Beatles?
