That's exactly what they're doing, by making their own decision on how they want to look and feel.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

LOL BS, they're doing it because everyone else is. It's the cool thing to dress like Urkel and drape your hair across your face these days.

They're doing it because they want to, and it makes them feel more comfortable on the court. When you're regularly sweating, body hair (particularly in closed-off "high heat" areas of the body like armpits and the groin region) doesn't feel comfortable at all.

Pretty sure it doesn't have any correlation whatsoever with their masculinity, their sexuality or how they dress either.

This day and age men are so feminized it's sickening. Eye shadow, hair draped across their face, plucking eyebrows and shaving. No one says you need to have a big burly bush of hair under you arms or on your junk, but for **** sake, leave the clean shaven crap to the women.

Exercise your right to be a **** man.

Yeah exercise your right to be a man and worry about outdated standards set by a society that wants you to be a certain way.

I am not an armpit hair expert by any means, but it is obvious. Compare 20 year OJ Mayo to 20 year old MJ. OJ armpit hair is rich in texture, whereas MJ hair isn't, armpit hairline already receding at that young of age. Not to mention OJ armpit hairline is very low, that only happens with good genes. Dude not ever going to shave his armpits, I am just stating a fact.

That seems like a great idea. People could even bring their pets.

That was terribly forced.

I'm not talking specifically about NBA players. Just in general.

These guys make millions if a girl doesn't like their arm pit hair they can dump them and get the next one in line.

Can the Cavs sneak into the playoffs?

Well even in everyday life, having hair in those areas isn't particularly comfortable for some. Some people just feel better not having it there.

If shaving your body hair is not something you like or want to do, that's fine, but it's got absolutely no relation to people's masculinity or sexuality.
