With December 15th here, seems now is as good a time as any for our annual list of players with the most trade value. After this is done we will move on to the annual list of players with the most negative trade value.

Please vote for the player that you think currently has the most trade value and please list a nominee that should be added the voting list. Remember this is trade value, so factors such as salary/contract, age, potential, production, injuries, etc. should all be factored in to your vote.

Gimme a break with Rubio. If it wasn't for his ACL injury, yeah, maybe. Just coming off ACL sugery? No way.

Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”

Better efficiency and more scoring, plus being the undisputed first option on a very good team?

I dunno, I have been back and forth on the issue. I concluded that Westbrook ultimately contributed more to a teams offense with assists and A/T ratio, combined with his lower age and salary, but I have been pretty alone the last couple threads. As I said last thread, I could let Melo/Westbrook/Harden/Davis go in pretty much any order since there are arguments to be made for all of them.

VOTE: Love: 2 years, already a superstar, good face to market with Team USA and 3-point champ. Needs play-off success, but he'd probably have had that on any other team besides MIN these last few years.

NOMINATE: Rubio: Super-young but vet savvy, locked into a cheaper contract, international appeal, makes plays that get him on ESPN, so fun to watch. Besides Irving and Davis, probably the best talent on a rookie scale deal - certainly should be a nominee if other young cheap guys are winning spots.

Vote Anthony Davis

Nominate Rajon Rondo

Davis has superstar potential and is epic young, tons of rookie salary length left. Getting Davis potentially sets a franchise for the next 2 decades. Think his value is sky high and Melo shouldn't have gone over him

Rondo is a legit star with youth and a good contract

I think Damian Lillard deserves to go over Rubio, his athleticism and shooting make him a more natural pick for star upside than Rubio, Rubio's ACL injury, being a year more into his rookie deal, etc. I would personally nominate Drummond before Rubio too, the center position is usually favored over the point guard one

You might be right. I'm so tempted to vote for Kobe, but it's hard for me to see things on that big a scale.

According to strip club devotee Patrick Ewing, professional athletes “make a lot of money, but they also spend a lot of money.”

Kobe makes Jerry Buss a lot of money, but at $28 and $30.5 mil for the next two years, he costs a lot too.
