No, it got worse because Mullens was regressing to the point of being Andrea Bargnani and then he got hurt so we were stuck starting Hakim the Dream Warrick. Warrick > Thomas. Neither should be starting but at least Warrick isn't utter garbage. I would much rather see Hakim and Adrien get all the PF minutes with Thomas only filling in in case of foul trouble.

I don't think Warrick is better than Tyrus but that's for another discussion. It's kinda close though. Tyrus has his faults, a lot of them mentally, but he was dependable for that midrange jumper and a couple of good help side blocks a game. It's his contract that make him so notoriously frowned upon.

I think we'd all love Thomas if he was only making 2 mil a year.

But I'm really hoping for a good game tonight. I've been stuck at home sick for the past two days and sadly this is all I've had to look forward to.

Putting aside the objective merits of his game for a moment, Byron Mullins is the most unsatisfying to watch Bobcat in a long time. I look forward to watching the games significantly more when I know they will be Mullins-free.

Honestly his play since the lockout has been D-League worthy.

Dependable?

Did you miss the stretch where he couldn't crack 30% shooting from mid-range?

I honestly missed Tyrus...

Why?!?!?

He was simply concerned that if Tyrus isn't back soon enough, he won't be able to accumulate as many bonehead plays as I need for my #WorkHarder lowlight video.

Decided to look up the actual stats and you were almost correct. He shot 33% from 16-23 feet last season and 34% this season. His field goal attempts from that area of the floor have gradually grown since 2009, while the percentage has just as neatly dropped.

His shot attempts at the rim have dropped ever since he joined us. He attempted 3.8 field goals per game during that 2009-10 stint for us (by that I mean after the trade) and this season it's at a lowly 1.0.

his hoopdata stats basically sum up his career as a player of our franchise.

For what it's worth, I've notice Tyrus has been pulling hard for the rest of the team while he's been stuck on the bench with his injury, mentally and emotionally engaged in all the games. That hopefully shows that he gets along with everybody well.

Pay me 7 or so million dollars a year and I will mentally and emotionally the HELL out of games while pulling the snot out of the rest of the team.

he's not wearing them during shootaround. getting hit in the eye can happen to anyone, he isn't particularly predisposed to further injury right now

I'm talking more along the lines of how awesome he'd look sporting a pair of Jabbars

We can beat this team. Let's see how much Gordon & Haywood play as a clue to whether we're trying to win.
