What do you guys think of a trade somewhat like this?:

Toronto Raptors:
Rudy Gay
(Josh Selby?)

Memphis Grizzlies:
José Calderón
Terrence Ross
(Mickaël Piétrus?)

Memphis Grizzlies (New)
José Calderón
Ed Davis or DeMar DeRozan?
Future picks

Terrible. Calderon is nothing more to the Grizz than an expiring contract and Ross is nothing special IMO. Either Davis or Derozan has to be included IMO.

I read an article on Derozen about how he stayed in on NYE and watched film instead of doing anything fun. Says he spends all his time trying to get better. If that's the case then I don't want him, because he looked terrible against OKC yesterday. If that's what he comes up with from watching film of himself all the time then forget it. He's really not good.

(Toronot lost by 12 and Derozen went 4/16 from the field! )

December 31st, Memphis lost to Indy on Gay's stellar 3-17 shooting. If that's the best he can come up with, he's really not good

Yeah but Rudy Gay didn't tell reporters the night before that he'd been studying film of himself so he could be his best then go out and lay a turd. I was expecting to see a heady game from the kid and instead he was out of control and looked desperate. I didn't watch the Grizzlies game you're referring to so I have no idea how it's related.

The best Rudy has come up with BTW is 10/18 for 28 points this year against the Thunder of all teams..... Derozen best was 9/22 for 30 pts against Hornets. Derozen is on the rise but still a scrub.

Jonas Valanciunas + Kyle Lowry + Demar Derozan for Rudy Gay
Then we can keep Andrea and Jose

Demar isn't really good anyways. He's on a team that lets him shoot a lot, but he's not better than even an OJ Mayo. You don't want him.

The idea of Kyle Lowry coming back to Memphis only to be the back up behind Conley again is funny to say the least.

Nobody is claiming Demar is better than Gay, but he's younger, and better than you seem to think. He's improving on defense and he's money from mid-range.

Anyways, I don't think he'll be part of a deal.

If it's Calderon and Davis, that's something Memphis would have to consider.

Gasol and Randoph are both getting up there, and Davis comes in on his rookie contract and brings a good young big off the bench. Calderon gives the Grizz cap space. It sucks for me because I have both Jose and Davis on my fantasy dynasty team, and both will be riding the pine.

Gay fits on the Raps. He can rebound and play defense.

With Davis out, the Raps look to give Bargnani one more go? Maybe they have him seeing a psychologist and getting testosterone injections.

You know who else is a good young big off the bench? Darrell Arthur. Beyond Arthur, who else is a good young big of the bench as well? Mo Speights.

If Memphis trades Rudy Gay, it's to cut 4 million in salary immediately and, also, for perimeter shooters. A Calderon/Davis package meets the first criteria, but doesn't meet the second. Additionally, with Pondexter injured, it also leaves the Grizz without a true small forward on the roster.

I'm certainly open to a Raptors trade especially because it sends Rudy to the East and I could see him play several times a year in Boston.

Have really enjoyed the dunks by Terrance Ross this year too. Bargnani I thought would be the next Pau with even more stroke. If he could be the player he's supposed to be I'd go for it.

I believe Raptors should add Alan Anderson who is a good perimeter shooter and comes with a low price tag

I can't see how the Raptors make this deal without giving up Landry Fields and at least one first round pick, plus probably one other player.

Just wondering if the bucks got in the mix by adding Ellis would that entice either team? Bucks would be looking for young sg and/or pick

watched a little bit of that Raptors / 76ers game last night. Apparently fields is still working back from injury. I've always been a fan. No complaints here if he were to end up in Memphis.
