It's 3 other teams in California, how could you guys not see it coming. You all have 4 other teams to pull for. Lakers, clippers, warriors, or sonics.

It's not like its the only team in the state. Imagine how the sonics fans felt before.

This team is worth only 300 million according to Forbes. Even if a local buyer was interested they still need to deal with getting an arena deal done. Seattle has deeper pockets & will soon have a new arena. Will wait & see, but also I do not see Stern fighting this. He has said he wants a team in Seattle before he leaves the NBA.

Seattle fans think they know how we feel, but that's only to a degree. Unlike Seatle, Sacramento has zero professional teams. Zero. The Kings were everything in Sacramento, with them gone, we have nothing. No Marshan Lynch Highlight clips on ESPN and SportsCenter representing our city. No professional Baseball team with 'Sacramento' written across their jerseys. No soccer team, we have nothing at all. We're depleted of all hope and everything we love -- Sacramento Kings Basketball. Sorry, but we don't need your pity. It's like we just lost the championship and the winning team -- after celbrating on our home court -- shakes our hands and appolaizes for beating us. It is what it is... our team is gone. Time to start living life without perfessional basketball.

Let the games begin. “@largesteven: Source: SEA groups offer was rejected by Maloofs. Hmmm. Plot thickening by the minute.”

You do understand how big the state of Califoria is, right? There are eastern conference teams out of state closer than the Laker, Clippers, and Warrior are to Sacramento. And screw you for suggesting we root for an LA based team.

So what was the point? They might as well have just gone ahead and moved them down to Anaheim like they wanted to do initially. What was the point in staying here for a couple extra years, acting like they actually GAVE A DAMN about the city or the fans? They had TWO deals on the table to either sell OR build a new arena which would have kept them RIGHT HERE, but they declined both. "The Kings are not for sale". So how do you explain this? SELLING to a group who plans to relocate them immediately ANYWAY?

To be honest the Warriors are 90 minutes away, BUT asking us to check out an LA team is like asking a Bobcat fan to check out a game in DC. For Seattle fans the Trailblazers are about the same distance as you are to Atlanta.

California is so big that people from NorCal and SoCal don't act like we're from the same place.

Root for an LA team...really??? That's like asking UNC fans to root for Duke!

Blazers fan here

Sorry to hear that, and it's especially sad they're getting 500 million for selling out the city of Sacramento. Rip Kings.

As a Bucks fan, I feel like our situation isn't all that different. Bad ownership, playing in a barn, small market, and probably more. I had the pleasure of watching the Bucks play in Sac a number of times over the years and had a great time. Great fans who never hesitated to talk a lot of good-natured trash and they were loud as any I saw at Golden State.

Sorry you're losing your team and sorrier that you'll probably never get one back. I wouldn't be real pleased with the Maloof's, but I wouldn't give your politicians a pass either. They jacked those guys around plenty.
We all need hope, but hope is not a plan.

Personally, I think the Maloofs are trying to get the most out of Sacramento that they can. C'mon Burkle, CWebb, whoever, lets do this!
