eh, he didn't fall in love. he was in on the hoax, no doubt about it after reading the article. no doubt that he and his boy tuiasosopo were the ones behind it.

I don't get it though. What's his motive to be in on this? What's in it for him?

edit: just read the article, im guessing to build some sort of media-freindly narrative? Not sure though...

I wasn't clear actually, Deception Point and Digital Fortress are similar in that they are all intellectual thrillers with scientific mysteries to solve... With intellectual heroes.
There are superficial differences with the Langdon stories but fundamentally they are similar.

Tasp wrote:Dan Brown kinda sucks. I've read da vinci code and angels and demons, and while i like narrative-driven novels, especially with some scientific backing or feasible scientific extrapolation, but Brown is just pseudo-intellectual. I thought i was learning all this cool stuff, but turned out it was all bull. Look at Langdon's field of study, it's symbology - dafuq is that?

It had a good time reading them at the time. Michael Crichton is still the best narrative-driven author, imo.

i've only read lost world and one other one i don't remember, but really liked lost world.

nd says they were notified by te'o and his family that this girl never existed on dec. 26th. this pdf linked below shows that te'o made references to the girl after the bcs bowl game against alabama on the 3rd.

what's so confusing about it? some phaggot faked a girl's existence and death for a sob story that made notre dame relevant and put him the national spotlight as well as heisman discussions. and now he's trying to say they met over the internet when anyone with basic use of a search engine can find proof that debunks his whole story.

Mike Golic trying to cover up for his team and ESPN for ratings? Hmmm

huh? mike golic is an insignificant. that's saying the head powers of espn knew in advance about the story. espn is the world wide leader of sports and so happens to be tied to the hip of the richest college football program in the ncaa which is notre dame. so naturally espn isn't going to unearth something that could damage nd, it would have to come out from some other source first which it did. golic could've known but ultimately espn is responsible for covering it up.

you all should actually read up on espn, they do shady stuff all the time. just goes to show you that the media is perfectly capable and willing to cover up or distort truths.
