Yeah.

Team A salary then = $55M w/ $5M in capspace
Team B salary then = $90M still over lux tax but can make trades that take on slightly more $ (not that they should want to but can).

Oh ok, so if I'm acquiring more contract, I can do so until I reach 75,000,000 total. If it's over I need to acquire less for it to be legal.

So overall this seems much more simple, and straight-forward than real NBA trading.

It's in the trade thread. If your end salary is between 75-95M then you can take on up to 125% (plus 100k) of what you take back. Meaning if you trade a $10M salary, you can take back up to ($12,500,000 + 100,000) = $12,600,000.

Between 60-75M you can take the lesser of 150% + 100k OR $5M of what you send out. it's similar to real life trading rules, but somewhat less restrictive.

I (or someone else) will correct you if something's wrong, you'll learn pretty fast. I started playing this last summer, it's easy to pick up.

I like the Survey playoff -anything to keep the game moving. It alway loses players when it stops - even for Draft - so hopefully limit write ups mid game - abbreviated playoff - maybe 4 east and west - though rank top 8 for lottery choices.

I do like the Salary floor - which is keeping with the CBAs ruling. Expiring contracts is how you get cap space. I would also recommend we limit the number of buy outs so people dont come out of FA with 20 players and just waive them / buy out when they need to get in roster limits.

The OFFSEASON should be posted so people know when they are able to over spend - gather players and when they are going to have to be in limits. Obvisously - posted schedules will still be somewhat flexible depending on how the game is going.

Is it current rosters, or rosters from start of the season (ie is Gay a raptor or griz), and same goes for injuries???

Rosters reflect real life rosters as of today (Feb. 1st, 2013. Rudy Gay would be a Raptor, Sullinger injured for the rest of the season, Bynum has yet to play, etc.). If there is a trade or something between now and the actual start of the game, I will ask GMs to reflect those changes.

Blazer: I will get a schedule with actual dates once the game starts. The regular season/trading season is roughly two weeks long, we have some time for playoffs and the draft and then the free agency will start.

The buyout scenario you mentioned is a non-issue. Each team starts with $7M in cash and the only way they can buy out players is using that cash. Nothing should stop a team from trading pieces for cash if they want to. Signing 20 players would be a bad strategy anyway.

I am going to sit this one out. I didn't have a lot of time last game and still managed to get a Dragic/Harden/Kawhi/LMA/Pek lineup, and I probably have less time in the next month or so.

CHA77, if you need an agent for FA, let me know, I'd be glad to help.

With many people sitting put we can probably get an agent that is not playing in the game making it less chances of any disputes not that there would be.

I agree.

Nothing against WillyJakkz but I do think it's fairer to have an agent not playing in the game. Willyjakkz, if you want to do FAs then go ahead, but I do think it's better for the game if the agent(s) don't play. It's hard to be 100% fair when you know a free agent signing could affect you in some way. Up to you Willy.

+1 if luke, BI, or kees (or even roc) are willing to do it, give them 100% control over the entire FA thing and let them do it!

No biggie, I'm willing to do it, definitely not signing any upper tier FA's anyway, already have my team pre-determined in my head and will do my best to get as close as possible to it.

Nothin' against the FA agent volunteers but some citing not enough time to commit to game then I wouldn't want to depend on them to communicate fully w/ those of us playing as that was the main issue last game (though not w/ me fully).

That's my position on it though, no problem w/ doin' FA as stated, up to you.

Once teams are assigned, I'm offering up this package:

Greivis Vasquez (14/5/9), Al-Farouq Aminu (10/10/2 per 36), and 2013 Unprotected NOP 1st Round Pick (should be top 5)

For a young star. OR best piece possible.
