Depends on the injury. He could miss the tournament and go top 5 if it's not that bad, top 10 if its just an ACL. Could fall out of the lottery if its ruptured.

Not that this specific injury could have been prevented, but all these kids need to get taught how to fall. Watch Tony Parker, just don't try and land on your feet or catch yourself with your hands. Just take the fall on your ass and you'll never tear or break anything. Hurts, and doesn't look pretty, but just don't try and land upright every time. Just take a dive on fall on your back.

ACL apparently. Would still guess on top 5 for him, with top 10 as a sure thing.

Wiretap is saying torn ACL. Way better news than a torn patella tendon.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/kentuckys- ... ncaab.html Yup, torn ACL and apparently nothing else. Normal recovery is 6 - 8 months. So, he could conceivably be ready for opening day next season. Assuming successful surgery, I think he's still the 1st pick.

People react differently to everything. I've some people cry after tearing their ACLs, and others finish out a game with one.

Can we just stop speculating and wait for the MRI to come out?

Seriously, we're speculating that it was the same injury based on how he yelled ?

That's one of the first things they teach, specially to the big guys, in Europe. Unless you are 100 % sure how and where you're landing just fall down. Some players like Scola have made it an artform.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

Not so sure, he wasn't even the consensus 1st before the injury. Unless they find something else he should be top 5 though.

I feel bad for the kid.

A weak draft just got weaker.

Maybe he wasn't the consensus on the internet, but I'm pretty sure he was among NBA people.

He will go #2. There are only two draft prospects that will be good in the nba. Him and mclemore.
