What I d like to see next season is:

Smart
Lamb
Moe
AN
Vuc

As a core of future

Rest of team (not saying they d be back up)
Meer,bbd,koq and one of JJ/AA

that would be an awesome core to watch grow. all very smart hard working players

That s my point, in this draft I only want Marcus, and I think he and lamb would form great backcourt
Suggs, AB, Tyus, Jase
Bane, AB, TDS , Jett
Franz, TDS, Panda
P5, JI, Panda, Moe

I'm kinda liking the idea of using our Top 5 pick on Nerlens Noel. Hear me out...

If we send out Redick or Afflalo to OKC and get Jeremy Lamb and Perry Jones III...

Then use our TPE to acquire a mid round pick.

Cut Hedo in the offseason and hopefully show off Harrington enough to trade him in the offseason.

Draft time use our top pick on Nerlens Noel, and our mid round pick on Trey Burke. Nerlens will obviously miss out on a few months of the season. We'd have a young core of:

Burke
Lamb
Harkless/Jones
Nicholson/Noel
Vucevic

We would still be a lottery team and with Nerlens sitting out, we'd be tanking subtly... giving us a good shot at Wiggins or Parker.

2013-2014 lineup:
Jameer Nelson/Trey Burke
JJ or Afflalo/Jeremy Lamb
Moe Harkless/Perry Jones III
Glen Davis/Andrew Nicholson
Nikola Vucevic/Nerlens Noel

We could always trade Glen Davis at the next deadline for a first rounder to give us more ping pong balls and then slide Nerlens over to the 4 once he comes back.

Imagine a starting lineup of:
Trey Burke
Jeremy Lamb
Andrew Wiggins
Nerlens Noel
Nikola Vucevic

With Moe Harkless, Andrew Nicholson, and Arron Afflalo coming off the bench. We'd be back in playoff contention.

Just a dream...

We are obviously not going to use the entire $17 mill TPE on a draft pick so which team do you get it from and which player cones back with it?

I might be way off on Smart but to me he seems 6th man combo guard at best. I also dont like Smarts consistency, one day he will have a pretty good game and then he will have a game where he is single digits in assists and points. I would much rather take McLemore or Noel.

i'm just not understanding why OKC gives up 2 promising, young, CHEAP players for JJ, who is going to have to be resigned for at least DOUBLE what Lamb and P3 are making, or AA. Maybe it would benefit OKC on the court but this is still a business and in year 3 of the new CBA kicks in thats when the higher taxes start if im not mistaken. So WHY from a business stand point does this make sense for a small market OKC team.

Same arguement could be made for OKC and the Raptors pick and Chicago and the bobcats pick they own. Those teams who are on the line with the salary cap are going to treat draft picks, especially lotto picks, like GOLD.

JJ would be a lateral move for OKC being they already have Martin, who is arguably a better player. So, I doubt this is even entertained. I think Afflalo would be a perfect fit with the Thunder because he plays better Defense and has more length. He plays more along their style of ball.

I think if we want to get Lamb and Toronto's pick, we are going to have to agree to take back a salary like Perkins or someone less favorable. We are not going to get the pick for cheap

Smart = Moore 2.0

Smart weights 40 lbs more than E'Twaun Moore does, puts the ball on the floor with regularity, and is a premier defensive player the moment he enters the league.

The Toronto Raptors were told last week that they can accept the Andrea Bargnani and John Lucas III trade for Carlos Boozer and Nate Robinson from the Chicago Bulls whenever they wanted it, according to league sources.

That deal could take the Bulls below the luxury-tax threshold.

The Bulls would like to avoid paying tax, especially if Derrick Rose is not able to play this season.

I agree with this... but it still doesnt make Smart a top 5 pick imo. If we cannot get McLemore or Noel i would like to trade down and draft someone like Burke.

I know this is a little off-topic, but I have an Online Association on NBA 2K13 on the Xbox 360 and we are about to enter the playoffs. It is on All-Star and Simulation. We would like users who will play their user games and most of their computer games. Our only rule is, you can't just join as the Spurs (LeBron's team) or the Piston's (Durant's team). If anyone would like to join, just let me know and I'll add your gamer tag. We already have a few users from the forums that are in there as well.

Dwight Howard says Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak has told him definitively he will not be traded before Feb. 21 deadline.

not gonna lie i've been a big support of McLemmore from KU and havent done much looking into Smart for our pick. That guy looks great, big strong and only a freshman wow. PG of the future is def. a subject that needs to be addressed. DraftExpress has a great video on him.

That is because no one wants his drama filled life on the team.

Wow, take a chance on Noel, a guy that most don't project as an impact player anyway? The guy blew his knee out, he could be the next Greg Oden, albeit with significantly less skill and ability.

I honestly see nothing wrong with a vision past this year because that hawks game made me less excited about the current squad than I already was. I was more admirable of the fact he was thinking years in advance while I simply watch every game and /face palm....nearly every game
