That's not how it went down. Not really a mutiny, but more like the team was just burned out from Skiles. If there was any cancer on that team, it was Ben Wallace. I liked him as the Bulls' coach, but his style eventually wears thin everywhere he goes. After a while, guys stop buying into his hard nosed approach when it's not good enough to overcome superior talent. It works at first, but only for so long.

I do remember reading about Ben Gordon going off on Vinny Del Negro, though.

Gordon was brought in because that was the cost of getting Detroit's pick - nothing more, nothing less. Detroit could have sent Bozo the Clown with the pick as long as it worked under the salary cap rules and Bozo's contract expired in 2014.

^And the sight of Bozo rising from the bench and trotting to the scorers table to check in while peeling off his warm ups would also be considerably more entertaining.

even with giant clown shoes i doubt bozo would dribble the ball off his foot as much as gordon.

It's crap like this that makes me hate being a Bobcats fan. We are the freakin laughingstock of the league, and have been since our inception. We have never had people in place that knew how to get real talent, develop them, and then put them in a place to succeed. I'm tired of trying to root for victories when it's more likely we get blown out by 30. I'm tired of defending the Cats in my conversations with fans from other teams, when they just laugh at my allegiance. This sucks, especially when I love watching basketball as a sport.

I find glimmers of hope in Kemba and MKG. Hope we get some more talent soon. And ship that *#@*%#*% Gordon out of town now. I'll trade him for the worst contract in the league, if they take TT also. I'll even take Crash back with his contract.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

I really hope Gordon's traded for a big like Humphries. Those Kemba/Sessions/Gordon lineups needed to stop.

Nothing against Dunlap...just more to the story. You guys have been around long enough to know it's always more to a story than what is told.

KembaWalker wrote:Yeah Dunlap sucks because he's not forcing the offense through the guy whos been shooting 15% at 4ppg. Does this guy have a clue how to coach basketball? Clearly with that guy at #1 option we'd stop getting blown out every game.

Dunlap doesn't have to force MKG into shots, but how about putting him in position to be productive on the offensive end? We've known since the draft that his jumper needs work yet we continue to see him get the ball on the perimeter in most cases. We're on pace for another terrible season and you can't find a way to get your 2nd round draft pick playing time? This should be the season for grooming and developing instead he's on the bench while we allow the guards to pad their stats while we lose games.

Would you really rather have BG and Sessions chuck away as they are showcasing their talents to other teams in the league and we lose games or would you want your talented 2nd round pick to get valuable learning experience? The kid is 19, what's gonna happen to him is we may have another coach next year with a new agenda who tries to use MKG differently, and who know how that will work out, it'll be like a rookie year all over again.

The way MKG is being handled on THIS team is all wrong imo, but that isn't even the main beef I have with Dunlap who's blown games, had terrible lineups, and can you tell me what kind of offense we run? I know Kemba, and ther guards shoot at will and penetrate and kick out but what offense do we run? If we are tanking then the losses make sense, but if we are really trying to win, then Dunlap is doing a terrible job.

RealGM has a story about a possible Gordon for Bargnani trade. Mullens and Bargnani on the floor at the same time. The other team's points will make it look like we went bowling.

Breaking point. Hey, when a team loses this much you're eventually going to have someone break. I'm surprised it's taken this long.

I've never understood what Dunlap's doing with MKG either. He's playing these pathetic lineups without MKG on the floor and yet we're still losing.

This season is finished. I hope from here on out, Dunlap pulls his head out his a$s and starts developing our young players from now on.

Part of developing a young player is letting him watch how things develop during a game. Just like being out there is part. MKG is 19 years old. This applies to him more than most. He is not being done a disservice.

:o :o :( :( The topic is Gordon.
I still believe he will be traded by Thursday..Hopefully for Humphries.
Watch to see if Gordon plays next game..How many MPG and PPG?
IF no trade goes down, bench him/ and fine him for 5 games if possible or until he apologizes to team.
Also Have MJ talk to him in private before he takes the floor again.

Really? So watching a game > playing the game. Damn, thanks for the words of wisdom.

I agree with Marvel here, and besides, if MKG was watching the game on the bench for a team like the Lakers when they were loaded and had the triangle offense, or San Antonio with Pop's system thats one thing, but to sit the bench and watch our guards chuck away won't really help him learn much.

interesting subplot for the rest of the season... how will dunlap handle ben gordon's minutes?

1) dunlap sits gordon on the bench now that he doesnt have to showcase him for a trade, creating more minutes for hendo, taylor, sessions and MKG.

2) dunlap realizes he has to deal with gordon on the roster for at least the rest of the season and possibly the next 18 months and plans to continue to work gordon into rotation despite gordon's outburst rather than lose gordon all-together and risk creating a huge lockerroom problem.

The Bulls for Boozer after he underperforms once again and they get knocked out of the playoffs easily.

Whew I hope not.
