Reggie Rose rips Bulls' inactivity

Let me make a list of actual criticisms and complaints levied at Rose for this one article:

1) Derrick nuked his image, worse than when Kobe Bryant was accused of rape.
2) Reggie Rose is a worse handler than Maverick Carter (you know, the guy who orchestrated "The Decision")
3) Derrick is an idiot who couldn't pass the SAT, and the fact that he couldn't pass his SAT should have alerted us to him doing something like this.
4) Derrick has destroyed the psyche of his teammates, his poor poor teammates.
5) It is Derrick's fault we don't have another superstar on this team because he didn't recruit 3 years ago.
6) Because Derrick signed a max extension, it is his fault we can't keep or get players like Kyle Korver

At some point, people need stop being butt hurt over Reggie going to the media and like, you know, actually address the validity of his comments? He is absolutely right. The Bulls FO looks at Derrick as an investment. Fans look at Derrick as the means to take us to the promised land. But his brother is just looking out for his family and his best interests.
He doesn't want to see Derrick come back and go through triple teams against Miami because Paxson is so conservative and incompetent at his job that he can't even build legitimate talent around Rose, despite the fact that the organization lucked into Rose and both the FO clowns would be fired if Rose didn't come in and save their jobs.

I respect what Reggie said, and frankly don't give a **** who was thrown under the bus. Boozer and Deng deserve to be thrown under the bus for their atrocious play.

this would have all gone away if derricks statement explicitly stated "I love my brother, but his opinion is his own and not mine. I am appreciative to my teammates and the hard work they have put into making this season as successful as it has been. I am working hard every day to come back as soon as I can. My goal, as is the goal of my brother as well as the Chicago Bulls organization, is to bring the championship trophy back to Chicago where it belongs."

the statement as stated is PR blah. so vague, you can only assume the worst.

No, it wouldn't have gone away. There would then be articles about how there is a rift between Derrick and Reggie. The most likely way for it to go away was to make the exact statement that Derrick actually made. He clearly contradicted his brother, expressed support for the org, while not mentioning his brother at all. Everyone, including Derrick and probably even reggie now, know that the less Reggie's name is in the news, the better.

3. D-Rose should point the finger at himself. If he wanted more help, he shouldn't have been so passive in 2010. Right now, his biggest contribution in that department is helping recruit Kirk Hinrich - the very type of teammate that Reggie seems to be complaining about.

If I'm Luol Deng and Joakim Noah, I'm furious at Rose right now. They have willed this team into success and have earned All-Star selections. They deserve better than that from the Rose family.
