I really don't care if the ban is lifted or not. I'd probably just get banned again for replying to Tsherkin in a passive-aggressive manner anytime he posts. THough I do think it's stupid that they won't grant me the rights to view it without having to log out. It doesn't make a difference to them, but sure make a daily visitor work harder to view your forum... that's makes a lot of sense!

And Rich, I want my And 1 back... what are you some sort of indian giv....

I don't think anyone here overrates this team. I think everyone knows what the team is and no one showboats us as contenders. I think for the most part, we respect nearly everyone's opinions and our discussions have been fine. The board remains very knowledgeable as well. I hope what I'm saying is true and I'm not in denial. :lol:

I just hope we never get to the point where we overrate our own players to the extreme like they've done with Shumpert.

The timeline:

-Knicks draft Shumpert.
-Knicks fans overrate shumpert before he even plays a game. Would refuse to include him in a deal for Chris Paul (!!)
-The season begins, he's called favorite for ROY award by knicks fans in the first week.
-Throughout the season Shumpert is labeled as untouchable.
-The peak comes here when most knicks fans credit Dwyane Wade as his ceiling.
-Shumpert goes down with the ACL injury. Some knicks fans think THIS is the reason they won't beat Miami.
-During the offseason knicks fans wouldn't include Shumpert in a deal for Steve Nash. (understandable really, but to the level in which they heavily protested as if it were Kyrie Irving and not Shumpert was hilarious)
-Season starts, knicks start out fantastically, cue Knicks fans: "just wait 'til Shump comes back, we will be unbeatable."
-Shumpert comes back from the injury and proceeds to post a TS% of .452 which is even worse than his bad offensive rookie year.
-The love affair seems to be dwindling down, both with the Fans and Management.
-Shumpert gets traded to Charlotte for Mullens (this hasn't happened yet,but how awesome would that be?)

You're right and we are still in a very good level, we're just heading in the wrong direction that's all. It's to be expected, as we start to become a team with a winning record we will attract new fans, and not every new fan we get is going to be perfect
