League-wide whispers say Andrew Bynum could end up with Hawks next season. As for Sixers ... man, who knows?
It's from

Does that mean anything at all? Or was it a case of Amico asking some friends from around the country, "Do ya think Bynum could go to Atlanta?" "Sure, I guess."
Don't know if the answer was coached, but for someone connecting the dots, it's not a bad conclusion to come to. We need a C and we might need to save some face on the Smoove situation - the signing would kill two birds (at least) with one stone so to speak. If PHI doesn't jump on Bynum before FA starts, then I'm sure we'll be contact - if nothing else, then to get him in front of our doctors. It's just what happens from there is really where the questions start coming.
Should be interesting to see what happens in PHI if we start sniffing around Bynum though. Can they let him walk after giving up Igoudala, Vucevic, Harkless, a 1st, and taking on Richardson's contract for him? He would have spent more time at the bowling alley during the season than on the court for them. I know there's some hard feelings right now, but if they turn around and let Bynum walk and Bynum does play and plays well for his next team, then this series of events could go down as the worst by a team in NBA history - and that's really saying something. The would have lost arguably the 2nd best C, the best C prospect, the best perimeter defender, and 2 1st round picks to boot... Ouch.
