Its sad that I like the guys in the mid 1st to the 2nd round more than the top guys hahaha

It's the arms and the confidence to try. Vuc played that way when we played the Lakers in LA. Haven't seen that Vuc much since.

It's because those guys actually produce and you're not evaluating on potential. With that said, the safest picks for starter-level talent have to be McCollum, Noel (if you're just looking for defense and not expecting more), and Burke.

I actually would prefer a more one-dimensional, defense only type PF/C because on their big contract, you don't have to give them anywhere near max money, yet you get max performance out of them because no matter how bad they are offensively, you can get a double double out of them based on tip ins and dunks. It was my main gripe with Dwight, we had to pay him superstar money because he could score even though we really only needed him to be able to play amazing D. We had to pay a major premium for his defensive abilities. Theory only applies to PF/C type players.

True, but his athleticism deserves at least mid-first attention. He's getting out sized by Withy though, Withy is a beast, I remember him going off during last years tournament too.

It's hard to believe that Bmac is considered possibly the top prospect in this draft. Maybe it is just a coincidence but he always does badly when I watch KU

Anything less than max is a good thing. Don't think there will be many more Chandler type contracts, Ibaka is more realistic 10-12 million for a top-tier defense only type player. In the center/pf area I'd rather have two sub-max guys and spend the money on the SG/SF position.

Don't forget that Ibaka's deal was only his second contract and that his "max" is much different than max deals for older players. Even if he doesn't improve much and provides Chandler like numbers in the future, he will get a very similar deal to Chandler's deal on his next contract. There will always be teams that need to spend money and willing to give it to big men.
