Love just signed a 4 year max extension but apparently he isnt too happy in Minn. Love Wall and Beal would be such an amazing big three.

Just for fun...

Wall
Beal
Webster
Love
Nene

Our defense would suffer without Okafor but that's a top 5 offensive team.

Love has 3 years left on his deal, last one being a player option. Thing is, he becomes a free agent, possibly in Summer of 2015. We could potentially have max cap room in Summer of 2014....so yeah

Better by a good margin. Wall with a jumper does everything better than Irving besides shoot.

Truth. If we're talking NBA points guards over the last month, it's Wall and Paul in a league of their own.

I've never seen a player make a jump this big in such limited time.

Curry and Deron Williams belong in the same conversation but yeah Wall is playing out of his mind right now.

I hear you guys on Love but why wait 2-3 years. I say trade for Horford this summer...Atlanta will hit the reset button after Smith and Korver leave as FAs.. Atl will be left with Horford,Teague and ?????? I could see Ferry stripping that roster to where they'll be competing for the 1st pick for a few years and ala OKC and the Wizards hoping to land 2 studs in the lottery. As it stands now ATL is stuck in NBA purgatory, not bad enough to be in position to draft a franchise player, not good enough to get past the 2nd round of the playoffs in a relatively weak EC. If Okafor and Ariza opt in next season a package of Mek and first round picks this year and 2015 or 2014 and '16 plus either Booker,Vesely or Seraphin should get it done... Horford would be a perfect addition to this team...

Wall/Price
Beal/Temple
Webster/Ariza
Horford/Booker,Vesel or ??
Nene/Seraphin or ??

Horford would indeed be a great fit. Nene, Horford and a quality stretch 4 would make an awesome 3-big rotation. I'd probably do Oak + 2013 1st + 2015 1st. I'm not sure Atlanta would bite though. They already have 2 first round picks in this draft.

John Wall game score against Memphis = 41.4.

LeBron's best game score for the season = 44.2
Durant's best = 32.1
Kyrie's = 31.3
CP3's = 31.8
Kobe's = 36.9
Carmelo's = 36.5

Massive game by Singleton. Why can't he play like this more? He would be a fantastic role player for the team if he kept up this level of intensity and stopped settling for jumpers.

Actually i though this game was a perfect example of why CS can't make it in the NBA. In 43 minutes he made 3 field goals (1 alley oop dunk, one tip in and one jumper). He has no game on offense.

I actually think he dribbles too much. He really struggles to finish when driving towards the basket. John was getting him the ball with time to shoot last night but he faked and tried to take it to the rim almost every time I can remember. I wish he'd just catch and shoot like Ariza, Martell, and Beal do.

If he did develop a Bruce Bowen-like offense, he certainly could become a really important role player. His ability to stay in front of perimeter players at his size would basically give us someone to stick on LeBron, KD, and Melo.

He needs to just focus on defense. Ever since he's been here, I watch him and wonder why he was ever touted as a stud defender. He always seems to react slowly and just doesn't make an impact. Last night he made a huge impact on the defensive end. He forced turnovers that don't show up in the box score on plays that were easy buckets for Memphis. If he makes an impact on the defensive end, he would be like an effective version of what O-face used to be (I always though O-face was more movement and flurry of arms than actual positive impact on that side of the floor), and he'd be useful for 15-20 minutes a game.

If he keeps thinking he has to make his mark by learning to be a jump shooter or expanding his offensive game, he's never going to have any positive impact, because he just doesn't have those things in him.

He was a standout defender at FSU. He can guard four positions, which is the source of his value. He's rare in that he's got legit PF size and strength but the lateral speed to guard the perimeter. But it's hard to learn to play NBA defense and he's got to learn to play both big man D and perimeter D depending on what we need from him in any lineup.

Offensively, he's really only got two shots that I've seen--that mid range step back which he is pretty good at and the corner 3, at which he is passable. Otherwise he's just going to score on assisted buckets around the rim probably. Developing a consistent jumper for catch and shoot situations is what'll get him enough offense to play bigger minutes IMO. It's how Thabo Sefalosha has become valuable for OKC.

CS has to find something to hang his hat on offensively otherwise he won't be in the NBA long. He is currently averaging 9 points per 36 minutes with a TS% of 42%. That won't cut it.

Was at the game last night. Incredible performance by Wall, THAT's the Wall I expected when we took him 1/1. I don't know if he can sustain this kind of shooting but right now, but I've always said if he can get a consistent J he'll be a top 10 player in the league and right now he's basically playing at a level that'd make him the 2nd best player in the league(behind Lebron of course).
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

The tank is in effect. I don't see how we can win without Nene, Webster, Beal and Ariza. The only healthy swing men on the roster are Temple (who also has to play backup PG), Martin and Singleton (who really isn't a SF).

And that's a real nasty flu Ariza must have.

I don't know if you were being conspiratorial with the Ariza comment but
Consor said he was flat on his back on the plane coming back from the west coast.
Sounded quite legit to me.

I didn't see how we could win either. Then Wall went all hibachi on Memphis.

The kid looks fantastic. Too bad the rest of the team pretty much sucks outside of the starters and Ariza.

at the time I don't think we were wrong. He simply was not playing that great.
As someone else posted in the last few days, he's skipped from being average
all the way to AllStar and/or all league.

SIIIIIIKE

I was thinking today, who in the NBA would you trade Wall for?
He's 22 years old. It's a pretty short list I would think.
