Division Banner or no Banner?

Post#1 » by azncorruptedo17 » Tue Apr 9, 2013 3:42 pm

BG says he doesn't want a banner up at staples, Caron wants a banner up at staples..

I personally don't want a division banner up at staples, but i wouldn't mind if they stick that in their practice facility.

Thoughts?
Clipper fan since '95!!

not putting one is cowering to the lakers and their rings.

we're our own franchise and need to make rules for ourselves. we're not above putting up a division banner.
wit that said, I'm honestly indifferent.

I wouldn't mind either way.

People laugh at the fact that it's our first division title. Compared to the Lakers for example, but it's a historic moment in the franchise, it's something to be proud about. I wouldn't mind it going up.

As for settling or achieving bigger goals, like Blake said, I agree with that too. Training facility maybe yeah, but they all should have bigger goals and that should motivate them.

Yes, you don't get to act like you are the Celtics or Lakers when you aren't. "Normal" teams put these up, the Clippers are a normal team, and it's an accomplishment for this franchise

They'll put it up at the training facility, but not Staples. It's disappointing to me. The players were split on what should be done, but the ones with more pull didn't want it to go up. It is what it is.

A banner in the practice facility won't kill anyone...

I wish we would put a banner up in Staples, it's not like we have any. Since this is our first time winning the division there's no shame in putting it up.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

hang it up in Staples in the same fashion that the LA Kings did theirs and the practice facility of course.
