Thanks for the support everyone. It means a lot. It really does. Might seem like a small thing but every post here has made me smile and feel a bit better. This sucks so much. Its unbelievable. My dad was trapped in the city for a bit and was there for every explosion. Hope everyone in Boston is safe. Stay indoors; seriously.

Really nice to see Heat fans and Lakers fans showing love. Thanks to them and everyone again. Love all of you. Sometimes basketball takes a backseat to life.

I love my city so much. We will come back and come back hard. We love our city too much; this will strengthen us more than these cowards could anticipate. We all bleed for this city. The passed will not be forgotten and did not die in vain. This was a cowardly act of senseless violence, but it will not be gain less, no, not with the memories of the merit, truth, and purity of those gone and maimed scarred and stitched into our city's collective skin. We are all hurt. I will work myself wrought working to make my city a better place for everyone. UBUNTU

I love Boston. Until the end and then into the infinity of the heavens beyond its dirt. Why did this happen? I really don't know. But I know we will surpass this sadness. But it is quite hard to do so right now. Thanks again everyone.

Sad but true (having a brother who follows all of that stuff). Willing to bet they are having a weird type of thrill from something actually happening for once. And its unfortunately because like Stony Brook, the tragedy quickly gets forgotten for eye-rolls as the "conspiracy unveils" so to speak.

Really? So it's suspicious to you that some random person was looking at the scene where a bomb just exploded from a rooftop?

Espn reporting that between 25-30 have lost at least a part of one or two leg(s). Even more had to be amputated.

Depressing. I'm now feeling every tiny sensation all along my legs.

For that to happen on a freaking Marathon is just making me want to **** cry.

This is so terrible.

According to the head surgeon that spoke on CBS news 19 needing immediate surgery/amputees, then they added with anywhere from 20-70 with minor cuts...
That is a lot different than saying 49 injured and assume there are 49 people who lost limbs.

cmon bro no need to get into petty arguments in this thread, you're better than that

OKC bombing happened 18 years ago this week, columbine 14 years ago this week, and Virginia Tech shooting happened 6 years ago this week - pretty eerie to think about. More fuel to the fire for the conspiracy theorists too probably.

How can you tell he isn't looking at the scene based on that pic? I can't even point out his eyes or overall face - how the hell did you?!

Can't imagine going to run a marathon and coming back seeing amputations. This is just so terrible.

Being a runner myself, losing the ability to do what you love is a nightmare. I hope they all recover from this.

Well to be fair from where he is standing it doesn't look like he would be able to see anything as it looks like he's closer to the camera and the 2 explosions are on the far side, BUTTT

What is so weird about a man on his roof in general on a pretty day when the race was going on? And more than that he may have been watching the race saw the explosions and moved away towards the door, or he could have been out side his apartment and heard the noise and ran up to see what happened (whenever I hear a loud noise outside I usually go out on my balcony to see what happened)

In fact Saturday night I heard 2 people yelling at each other outside and I went to the balcony to see if someone needed help. If I heard loud explosions I would definitely have to go look...normal human curiousity

Just heard that it's not known yet whether it's overseas related or domestic.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/04/15/explosion-reported-near-finish-line-boston-marathon-spokesman-says/

Authorities were guarding a person of interest at a local hospital, sources told FoxNews.com. The person, who sources said was 20 years old, had severe burns, but authorities had not determined whether the person was a victim or a perpetrator.

Wishing a speedy recovery for the victims, and hope the culprit(s) of this are caught and harshly punished. It's sick and cowardly.

Stay safe/strong Boston, the entire country, and civilized people of the world are with you.
