Why wasn't the Newton shooting also a terrorist attack?

How come this is being called a terrorist attack?

Double standard.

I agree, this looks more like a crazy person just trying to kill innocent ppl

OKC bombing, was done by a white American, and called a terrorist attack.

Mass shootings like Newtown and Columbine are usually not labeled as terrorist attacks. Usually when its a terrorist attack, theres some agenda behind it other than the person just being mentally unstable. Some religious or coercive reason for it. Theres a reason why the White House is so hesitant to label things as acts of terror, because it brings with it a completely different meaning.

Really? So it's suspicious to you that some random person was looking at the scene where a bomb just exploded from a rooftop?

Except that guy was not looking at the scene.

very suspicious to me.

You know the police put guys on the roofs at these events right? You know residents go up on roofs too, right? And how can you tell where he's looking.

What would be the purpose of being on the roof anyways, he could be anywhere, sitting in a hotel room watching on tv.

He was looking away and walking away from that scene and that sound.
"What would be the purpose of being on the roof anyways" That would be my first question too.

Rooftop is good for signal and coordination.

Finally got a hold of my brother who was volunteering as an aid worker at the marathon through his school, MCPHS. He and his school friends are all fine, he was in the medical tent at the time, but was about to go on break to take a picture of the national flags (we are Irish/Filipino and you can see the Philippines flag right by the first explosion), but the girl he was with was cold and wanted to go on her break to get a jacket from her car so she took her break first. I'm not really religious, but I do thank God or whatever cosmic force for that cold girl.

Told me that they did have emergency plans that all personnel had to go through in the case of a terrorist attack, probably why the loss of life was limited as people rushed to help instead of running away.

I'm probably more stressed out than he is, even in this age of information, it was killing me trying to get a hold of him for the past few hours.

CNN reporting "breaking news: it was a coordinated event"

They're taking interviews out of context and attempting to label it as an attack by a terrorist grop, why can't you just report news and quit speculating? Nobody is going to care if you were the first to say a group did it.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

You THINK it was? Its clearly photoshopped.

Anyways, just because someone is on the roof doesn't make it suspicious in my opinion. People and Police are known to have watched the marathon from rooftops.

God I hope they find whoever did this fast and either Massachusetts has a death penalty or he gets shipped to Guantanamo bay and gets some torture.

Please if u don't agree with this post don't argue. Should not turn into a political debate and I'm mainly speaking out of anger.

People hearing an explosion and going up on the roof to see what happened is weird to you? after that, There's two ways off a rooftop, you either jump or go back inside. This speculation is idiotic.

Why would you want to report the news, when instead you can yell at Obama for not calling it a terrorist attack yet?

It doesn't mean he did it, but they are calling him a suspect. So it could be a foreign terror attack

This has been refuted.

I've been watching FOX news local Boston the last few hours and they keep saying it. I haven't heard it confirmed or denied, just saying what I'm hearing on FOX
