It was interesting while it lasted... while the internet did blaze the news faster than cable news, the confirmations weren't correct. It was just a huge assumption.

But it was creepy... Tripathi family the last few days probably got trolled. You know how 4chan can be, I believe they identified him as well as reddit.

I guess it goes to show maybe there's some value to professional media. The mob really can get out of control.

They're saying the two guys were chechen. possibly targeted for recruitment because they could pass as regular americans, at least appearance-wise.

I dunno why people are surprised that police lost track of suspect 2. I mean that guy isn't some random nut bag, if the report is correct he did received military training oversea.

I googled his name before the information blew up and I found multiple stories from a couple years ago which showed he won a scholarship from Cambridge for college. So yeah, he appears to be a resident of the US.

AP sources identify the surviving Boston bomber as Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19. The man is said to be from Russia’s south, not far from the Chechen Republic.

The man reportedly lived in Turkey before arriving legally in the US about a year ago.

The name is listed among the recipients of Cambridge scholarships in 2011 ( http://www.cambridgema.gov/citynewsandp ... ients.aspx ).

The second suspect is said to be his brother.

An NBC report claims the two immigrated at least two years ago. Both brothers are said to have Massachusetts drivers’ licenses.
