No matter what they get back if they trade Aldridge we wont see that pick until 2016. Hes a top 3-5 PF in the league right now. Not sure why they would want to trade him with the emergence of Lillard.

Is he really a top 3-5 PF? I haven't sat down and thought about it

Love Griffin and Bosh are the only 3 I can think of off the top of my head who are better.

He's probably top 5. Definitely arguable. Made the all-star game this year.

I'm not so sure he isn't better than Bosh/Griffin; I think those two tend to get a little overrated due to their situation/market.

granger getting hurt, best thing to happen to pacers this year? meaning, if granger is healthy paul would have improved, but would granger have moved aside to let george be the unquestioned alpha male on the team? certainly they are a better team with granger and paul, but next year there will be no mistake whose team it is. the pacers are george's team. granger is now the complimentary guy, which is the way it should be. not sure that happens so fast if granger is healthy all year.

It doesn't happen, period. No way was George ever going to break out with Granger taking 16-18 shots a game.

Man, if the Bulls beat the Nets in the first round minus their 2 best players, that early extension given to Billy King will only look stupider. Aren't they maxed out in terms of cap? And only getting older (and Deron seems to be on the decline)

Fats, if we had the worst front-court of all-time, could this be the worst playoffs back-court of all-time?

Darius Morris, Andrew Goudelock and Chris Duhon are the healthy Lakers guards for game 3. Well, Goudelock was the D-League MVP... That's about the only positive I can find about this guard rotation.

Call me crazy but I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers won tonight against the Spurs with a lengthy dose of Darius Morris in the game because at least he can play some defense unlike the two Steve's. To me the Lakers biggest issue is defense. They don't create enough turnovers and transition baskets.

I've actually got Aldridge at #1 right now. Unless you want to count Carmelo, who has been starting at the 4 this year.

Aldridge is better than Love, Bosh, and Griffin.

Russell Westbrook out with a torn meniscus. :o

This is insane because during that game the announcers had just been talking about how Westbrook hasn't missed a game in the NBA, in college, and even back through high school.

EDIT: seems like it's only a minor tear and could be back at some point in these playoffs if OKC stays afloat. As much as I hate this for OKC, it's going to be really cool to watch Durant carry his team night after night. His efficiency is going to drop, but he seriously could average 40ppg between now and the time Westbrook returns (if he does).

Timberwolves are replacing GM David Kahn with none other than Flip Saunders. I'm not surprised. Kahn was obviously not cut out for the job at all.

If Westbrook shall return between 1-3 weeks then I think this injury might be a blessing in disguise. It will command Durant to take a larger role in usage and scoring as well as force them to give Ibaka the ball in the post on occasion, something they have been ignoring with Westbrook being able to penetrate at will. By the time Westbrook recovers he should be humbled enough to dial it down on the isolation plays with the knee injury in the back of his mind. However this news sucks. It seem like everybody get injured except LeBron. I'm not wishing injury on no one though.

we could just give the Heat the title at this point. Every single other team is so injured that it's almost not fair.

a rundown of injuries to starters/top bench guys on playoff teams?

lakers - kobe
bulls - rose
celtics - rondo
warriors - lee
thunder - westbrook
pacers - granger
knicks - amare
nuggets - gallinari
houston - lin (maybe)

8/9 of 16 playoff teams are missing a key starter due to injury.

That's like replacing a burning tire with merely a flat that can't be inflated.
