Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
How many guys in history have simultaneously been the best play maker/passer, scorer, rebounder and defender on their team all at the one time? Would only be a handful id assume. Which is pretty crazy when you think how efficient miami is in those category's. ( Probably lacks in team rebounding i didnt check numbers)

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
Thanks for the awesome response a few pages back SideshowBob. Yeah, it would have been something to have this version of LeBron happen a few years earlier.
Honestly, I have to think this helps his stock in an All-Time Draft. Like, you can draft this guy and basically mold him into anything. And it all goes back to the willingness to pass and help teammates imo. There's less of a "sticky-fingers" problem with him as opposed to other certain legends.

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
Honestly I've been saying this for years since 2008 ish when you could really tell he would be an all time great. This guy needed less yes men around him and more Riley types. He didn't get the proper tutelage he needed in Cleveland he got in the 3 short years in Miami. Whether it by being around wade, Riley, spo(yes spo) and just a more winner mentality organization has given Lebron all the support he needed mentally to become the player he is today.too bad because guys like Kobe (PJ, Shaq), MJ ( didn't have pj early but had a pippin too push him), hell even Durant ( got a straight up dog in westbrook ).
Lebron biggest issue in Cleveland was not the players around him being crap which they were. It was that he was so far above the organization no one ever treated him like a basketball player that needed coaching, molding, guidance etc. especially since he was so young. Dude was 25 in his last year in Cleveland. He never had a Riley, pj, pops, anybody to push him to this level.

Peak Wilt, peak Walton, ABA Dr. J, peak KG, arguably peak Hakeem, now LeBron... all I can think of. A couple of those guys might have a debatable category but it's a short list for sure.

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
Lebron really needs to get these turnovers under control, he's looked to force some bad passes in this series.
The much bigger concern has to be Wade though, he looks terrible. Just doesn't seem to be right physically.
And believe it or not, that last shot at the buzzer was his first 2 point attempt outside 15 feet in this entire series.

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
Lebron has had a really annoying habit of getting himself a position where he has to pass and it doesn't always work (see the 3 turnovers). Hoping he decides to stop forcing himself to facilitate on every play and attack or just take the jumper.
That said, he had some GREAT passes so far, especially the one to the cutting Wade with him being doubled. Remember, the Bucks were lights out from three for a while, which will end, and the Heat are only down 2. I still don't see any chance for the Bucks.

He is fearing to drive and it results in turnovers from unnecessary passes.

Yep. I don't think he's "fearing" to drive, but his turnovers have been a direct result of his passiveness.

He's finally being aggressive. I've been screaming at the TV for him to shoot it more.

I'm surprised to see him sit the entire last 9:45. I know the Heat were never in trouble but its not like they were up 30, generally you'd see him in there.

think Spo was confident the game was in hand trying to get Wade and Bosh going. It worked for one of them

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
Miami in this series:
Game 1 - 122.4 ORTG, 96.8 DRTG
Game 2 - 109.3 ORTG, 95.9 DRTG
Game 3 - 109.3 ORTG, 95.6 DRTG
115.3/93.8 with Lebron on the floor tonight.
What a weird series from him so far. 23/8/7 on 69% TS with 5 TOs a game. He's looked pretty mortal for the most part, Milwaukee's done a great job on him.

Spo is trying to save his legs as much as possible. It's the right call I think.
Wow, did the Heat play like crap offensively for most of this game, yet they still got a near blowout victory. Wade was atrocious shooting the ball, Lebron continues to turn it over like crazy, Chalmers and Battier can't hit anything, but they still managed to get plenty of scoring. I'm expecting Miami to put together a really good game 4, they really did not play well in games 2 and 3.
Btw, what's up with Wade? He seems to be off physically to me, but maybe I'm just perceiving it that way because he couldn't make a shot. I would actually say he was almost average tonight when you factor in everything else he did, but god was that an ugly shooting display.

What do you think of his TOs? Seems to me like they've been bad/unnecessary for the most part.

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
Well, another game, another blowout. After a good 1st quarter he decided to not do much of anything until 4 minutes left in the 3rd when he realized everyone except Ray Allen sucked on offense and decided that it would probably be a good idea to start getting agressive and maybe get a shot or two up. Luckily for the Heat, that concided with the Bucks cooling off while Ray Allen was schorching, so 6 minutes was all they needed (again) to turn a competitive game into a blowout. LeBron checked out early and didn't have to move his ass until the end of the game.
Positives:
after two games of paint assault he actually took and made quite a few jump shot today, efficient scoring, few nice passes as well
Negatives:
stretches of passivness that were too long, turnoves, 2-4 on FT's

For what though? Even if Miami faces the toughest matchups, this is the easiest run through the East to the Finals in years, and that's saying something. If anything, the whole team seems out of rhythm offensively, they've won these last two games because they're playing like the best defensive team in the league. Wouldn't playing extra meaningless minutes against a relatively weak Bucks team help out with that?

Win in 4, watch Nets/Bulls go 6 or 7, and you have plenty of time to fix that stuff in practice.

I wouldn't be overly concerned with LeBron's minutes load either assuming the hammy is not an issue. He has not played a ton of basketball over the past few weeks, plus Miami is going to get plenty of rest inbetween series in this conference. They'll probably be waiting a week for game 1 vs Brooklyn/Chicago once they close out the Bucks Sunday
