Im happy that it will likely be Miami Chicago.. LBJ always seems to be amped up and play pretty damn good against/in Chicago.. thought it doesnt compare to him @ Boston.

Looking at the series again, I'm a little more impressed. The fact that he can similarly replicate the kind of impact he was having in 2009 in those dominant series, while seemingly playing at half speed is pretty big. It goes to show that his non-box-score contribution ability has dramatically improved. Not a single stat line in this series looked as impressive as any of his first 8 games in 09, and yet, he managed to look just as dominant.

Now consider the intensity and fire he was playing with then, and compare it to the nonchalance we saw from Miami as a whole in this series, and Lebron outside of game 1 and the last 18 minutes of game 4. I mean, its as mopper said, Wade didn't even play yesterday, and they hardly missed a beat. Makes you wonder what their true playoff ceiling might be.

I feel like Lebron now more than ever is like a great quarterback at the line of scrimmage, reading the D, calling audibles, knowing when he needs to make a big play, or hand it off, etc. Sometimes the best thing you can do for you team is hand the ball off 35 times, to extend the metaphor.

Lebron's plus/minus for this series is more of a product of how much better Miami is than the Bucks. Lebron sat a total of 45 minutes this series (out of 192 total) and were a net -0.1 team with him off. Basically it says that this team is still better than the Bucks without Lebron even existing (in a system where he needs to exist). That's quite an advantage. With Lebron on the court, the Heat double-lapped the Bucks with a total of maybe 45 minutes of Lebron actually trying. It's night and day between these teams.

The real story of this series was how remarkable Andersen turned out to become. +36.8 On-Off, despite the 59 total minutes of sample size of him actually being on the court, is impossible to ignore. I think this was more of an "effort" stat given how much more he has to prove than someone like, say, Ray Allen. It's a similar situation for Birdman to Allen as they've both been acquired this year and had to mold into the defending champs' system with Birdman filling a bigger void than Allen did.

You can pick apart these tiny little stats all you want, but I think it says a lot about how well this team's identity has been established in its third postseason with Lebron. A sea change from 2011, certainly.

Ridiculous how dominant the Heat are when the decide to turn it on, completely backs up the eye test, where it seems like MIami just coasts through the first half.

It's like everyone in this thread just up and forgot the team he's playing on or the competition he's facing on a nightly basis in a weak conference.

Wade, Bosh, and a bunch of shooters to spread the floor against teams like the Bobcats and Magic. How are teams like that even supposed to guard him with all of those other weapons to space the floor? Hell, Wade's on the decline and shooting 52% for the season.

Not sure what you're referring to specifically. Most of what is being discussed in this thread is Lebron's effect on Miami's team performance, and Miami's team performance in general.

They just played the bucks not bobcats or magic. They also have an insane record against the west including your lakers which he has slaughtered twice this year and been routinely owning since he's been in the league
