IMO theyll be motivated for the Bulls as a team more than any other team they can play they remember the streak being ended and them celebrating. For Lebron he prolly wants revenge on Spurs too for 2007 but i dont think the team as a whole will be as motivated to beat another team like theyll be with bulls. I think they hate the bulls as much as they hated the celtics before IMO

I said the same thing on the Heat board. I think that the Bulls would be better for them as they would add their motivation and make the Heat earn their win instead of having it given to them like the Bucks series. Heat fans want the easy route though, lol.

Heat could easily pull a fo'fo'fo' to the Finals though and maybe even win it all without losing, something that has never been done.

They beat a really good and healthy Bulls team in 5 without HCA. With the Big 3 that year they had a 7.82 SRS. By comparison the 2013 Heat's full season SRS is only 7.03.

Sure by they've been a 10+ SRS team for probably 50 games now, and gone 46-4 in those games. They were a +13 SRS team in the 1st round. 40-2 in their last 42 games, which supposedly is the best 42 game stretch in NBA history (kinda arbitrary, I know, but I saw it on the GB so thought I'd bring it up lol).

So I'd say they're definitely playing better than the 11 team was when it was heading into the Finals.

I'm pretty sure it is the best 42 game stretch. No team has had a a 42 win streak so it would have to be 41-1. From there you just need to look at the long win streaks.

Bulls could lose the series badly, but they tend to depress scoring and stats, if by pace alone if not usually superior defense as well.

Might be the Nets yet if Kirk can't comeback, which case, he really should run it up in that series. Not impressed with Brooklyn's defense.

Despite people remember LeBron hitting a lot of big late shots 2 years ago, he didn't have a monster series in the ECF vs the Bulls: 25.8 PPG, 45% FG, .569 TS%

That's true, however we just don't know which Bulls team will show up in these games. Sometimes the one that can hang with anyone comes to play and at other times it is the team that doesn't even show up is out there. I certainly think the Bulls would fair better with Butler and Deng out there taking turns on defending Lebron vs one or the other.

Luc Mbah a Moute with sander is probably the best lebron defending duo in nba right now and lebron has averaged 24.5 on ts 68% and lebron has consistently played even better against bulls i could see him averaging 27-28ppg on 65-67% TS if wade is healthy and thats the lowest numbers,i cant see him averaging less than those numbers

Yep. I don't know a team this season that is as up and down as the Bulls.

I don't see how they aren't. They were a 10 SRS team with Lebron playing since January 12th, were 43-5 in that stretch (47-5 now if we include the 1st round). Lebron's way better than he was in 2011, Wade clearly not the same, but I don't think its crazy to think that he's going to be better than he was in that Bulls series, the rest of the cast is also much superior, and they've all now had 3 seasons together to build chemistry. I don't think its even a question, even given weaker competition. Their performance level is clearly higher, and there's plenty of signs that they're still not really playing in top gear.

Yeah, that series was pretty ugly offensively. Most of the games were in the 70-80 point range
