Thank Buddha we have people here who have to authority to decide what counts as pseudo-science, and what is the real thing. Where were you before?

Getting PHD's in science...nothing specific...just Science. I found links to multiple NASA related articles, Carl Sagan's the Cosmos and an hour long Neil Degrasse Tyson interview within five or six pages of here.

I wasn't talking to you, you've just made a post quicker the I did, so mine came directly after yours. LOL, we've had great conversations in the first few pages of this thread, how could you think I was ridiculing it?

There's legitimate science if you look around instead of just picking one post and throwing a hissy fit. I'm certain I've posted some Neil Degrasse Tyson in these threads.

I never said there wasn't any legitimate science, and nobody is throwing a hissy fit. You have to admit though that there IS a lot of stuff in this thread that isn't science at all.

I wholly agree that there are "theories" here that are pure speculation with no real scientific base...but I don't complain about it, I just post the things that interest me. I even entertain some of the links when I'm bored in case there's anything fun or worth debating in it. I just think it's a waste of space to quote someone's link you don't like, instead show us something interesting.

And as an aside, I think a lot of the things that are strictly science seems to fall to wayside while theories, predictions and outside of the box stuff (which some would certainly label pseudoscience) spark more intense discussion.

The whole do aliens exist thing is way more interesting to casual comers and goers than the largest body of water in the universe or the pillars of creation (which counts my favorite thing in the universe since we can see it with now but it doesn't presently exist).

I thought this thread would be popping up due to the Akin comment on a woman's body, which then would of caused this thread to shut down.

I used to have a theory that somewhere in our galaxy there was a planet that was humanoid in DNA and somehow the planet was destroyed through war or some kind of cosmic disaster that blew that world apart sending DNA riddled asteroids and meteorites into space self-pollinating whatever planet it collides with. Obviously, conditions have to be perfect for any of this to happen but even our moon has evidence that it's been bombarded with space rocks before. I didn't grow up religious and I'm still not so I don't believe that God created us and the universe that we live in. Anyways, this was just something I've thought about in the past that could help spark some discussion in this thread.

Hey guys, I haven't been able to read all the topics throughout the thread but I came on here to get some input.

Have any of you watched "The Secret", and if so, can I get your takes on it? Thanks!

We actually know plenty of technological and medical uses for gold and some of the properties it has are pretty amazing.... it's not just currency ....I mean come on, even a high school education will tell you it's more than just 'currency'...
