We're not hiring no Euro coach...Don't join the buffoonery...
Back to the topic...Even though this draft class is weak I think it should be a interesting combine...I'm ready to see a couple of players true measurements...

Re: Draft Combine & Workouts
A lot of people claim it's weak.. yet a guy that has "star potential" (Bazz) is likely to be available when we pick!
If the Draft was that weak surely someone with "star" potential wouldn't make it to #7
And what about all those other dudes we keep discussing that are "interesting prospects"?
As usual it seems the closer we get to the combine the "better" the Draft becomes.

Re: Draft Combine & Workouts
This draft reminds me a lot of the 2006 draft (Bargs went #1!).
It had multiple all-star caliber players, but teams just couldn't identify them. You had Adam Morrison, Tyrus Thomas and Sheldan Williams go before guys like Rudy Gay, Brandon Roy, JJ Redick. With Rajon Rondo being the #21 pick and Kyle Lowry being #24. You also had Paul Millsap go #47.
There will be high quality players, but they aren't readily visible, I believe. Also, there will probably be a ton of busts.

These are all PG prospects, which to me suggests that Joe D and Co still see PG as an area of concern. Poor Brandon Knight, pretty sure that we are going to draft his replacement soon

This is actually not true. We have no clue what first round guys they are bringing in for a workout

That's been obvious since they traded for Calderon. Not to rehash that whole thing, but Knight was gifted the starting PG spot from day one. You shouldn't feel sorry for him if he wasn't good enough to keep it. They gave him plenty of opportunity, but the goal is for the team to win, not make young players feel like stars when they aren't by gifting them starting roles forever.
Plus I'm sure this next coach will evaluate the roster and give Knight every chance to win the job this training camp. If he's truly the best PG on the team for the new system, then he will be the PG. If not, then we will go with the PG who gives us the best chance to win. No different than any team in any sport.
Personally, I think they would've been willing to be more patient with Knight had Stuckey not failed as a PG. But after wasting 4 yrs waiting for Stuckey to develop and never paying off, I don't think they are going to allow Knight the same luxury and risk the same result.

No it actually means we're looking for a 2nd or third PG.
