Yeah I agree.

I was thinking something along the lines of:

TOR out: Gay
TOR in: Jefferson + Barnes

GS becomes Curry, Thompson, Gay, Lee and Bogut. A very good team. We take on Jefferson for a year and get Barnes

Call Milwaukee about a deal surrounding DeRozan for their 2014 first round pick and pair him with his friend Jennings. We'll probably have to take on a bad deal for this to happen.

Call Utah about a deal involving Lowry for a pick(s). Or maybe negotiate something with Indiana who'll be looking for a starting PG or even the Clippers who are looking to win now and might do a sign/extend and trade deal of Bledsoe for Lowry.

And if Dallas is selling #13, buy that too.

^^No way GS parts with Barnes after the way he played in the playoffs. I think teams will be reluctant to part with 2014 picks. Especially middling teams like the Bucks. Even the Mavs 2014 first (blow up idea) may be a lottery pick next year. So I'm doubting OKC easily parts with that. Lowry has a nice contract next year but then who knows. He will want to get paid so is basically a one year rental.

I think this whole argument to blow it up is (Please Use More Appropriate Word). outside of wiggins and parker who is any good. nbadraft.net has willie cauley stein at #5, did anyone see him play last year? he was awful. Marcus Smart, Julius Randle, like these guys dont have superstar potential. So there are 2 guys that are worth tanking for and the lottery makes it impossible to be certain we get one

jack, jose, harris, mo, augustin, nate, livingston, collision, or billups would all work for MLE, landry, dalembert, webster, korver, zaza too but i think we go PG

pick up brand or o'neal for vet min would really help out the bigs jonas, amir, and bargs(or who he gets back), dont wanna see gray this year

i agree, i hate these 2014 dreams where Wiggins is penciled in. Even if Toronto is the worst team, the team with the worst record has only won the lottery 4 times. Its far more likely we DONT get Wiggins then do (25% assuming we are the worst team).

I also am not seeing a "strong" deep draft next season. I see a draft that has 2 superstar level talents and once you get past the lottery selections the talent level drops off dramatically. Thats why im not opposed to dealing our 2014 1st round pick in order to real in a core piece (ie Millsap).

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

I like Collison for the full MLE, young enough to still have a little upside left. Can hit the 3 and get into the paint, if we give him the full MLE on the 1st day, he"ll be gone, Dallas has bigger fish to fry early in the off season.

Collison / Milsap / JO would be a solid off season.

Hinrich/Lucas
Ross/Hamilton
Brooks/Lamb/Fields
Humphries/Acy
Valanciunas/Perkins/Gray

Tell me that roster doesn't suck beyond belief, the tank would be in full effect while the youngsters develop. In 2014 this almost guarantees at least a top-5 pick, and all of the dead weight besides Perkins and Fields expire leaving us with a ton of cap room. We also collect a few extra picks to use in the draft (BKN, DAL).

From Brooklyn: Kris Humphries, Marshon Brooks, 2013 1st Rounder
To Brooklyn: Rudy Gay

Let's face it, they're in for the long haul. So adding a Rudy Gay only helps, plus he even expires before Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace. It's utterly ridiculous how this team was put together.

From Chicago: Richard Hamilton, Kirk Hinrich
To Chicago: DeMar DeRozan

No doubt an upgrade in talent. Plus, if Nate leaves they'll need a new 6th man.

From OKC: Kendrick Perkins, Jeremy Lamb, 2013 Toronto First Rounder, 2014 Dallas First rounder
To OKC: Amir Johnson, Kyle Lowry

This was proposed by Alfred on the Trade Board, so credit to him. No doubt an upgrade for their roster.

BKN says no. They already have Gerald Wallace. Why would they blow their only asset just to grab another SF?

Wallace can't stretch the floor and doesn't fit their half court style game. He also sucks at shooting and can't create a shot for himself. Not to mention that he's aging.

With reports circulating that Milwaukee would rather keep Monta + Reddick instead of Jennings.

How about something built around Lowry + Bargnani for Resigned Jennings + Mbah Moute + filler

Personally i'm only doing it to get rid of bargnani

I think it's time to blow this team up.

But if we're going to trade for Millsap, it makes no sense to trade our startng PG to acquire him. It would have to be something along the lines of Ross and Kleiza S&T for Millsap.

And say no to Jennings. If anything, Milwaukee should re-sign him and trade him to a team like ATL for some picks. In our case, we should be trading THEM DeRozan to pair with Jennings. Maybe we could a get a few picks.

I would love to trade for Cousins. I'd deal anything that not Val or our 2014 pick.

That's horrible. Bargnani has horrible value - A Jennings/Udoh for Ross/Bargnani is something we would think about

I don't know man, I've kind of soured on Lowry (despite my sig saying otherwise). I feel like, if we can get a young PG in here, even someone like Darren Collison, who is a RFA, he'd be a better option to Lowry, and cheaper over the long haul. I want someone who is a bit quicker, elusive in the open court, and can be disruptive in passing lanes on the defensive end.

I wouldn't mind handing over the reigns to a rookie PG either, if the talent merits it.

Some of you are just making trades for the sake of making trades... Collison is trash and cannot guard a pylon. There's a reason Indy traded him away while trying to be a contender.

Jennings is also trash, a player who hucks and chucks, does not play a single lick of defense either.

And as for the trade that gives away our whole starting line up for a bag of peanuts and a few mid 1st rounders, that is just asinine.

Didn't want to start a new thread on your board so I figured I'd just post in here...

I started a new B-a-T on the Orlando board - bit different than normal. This time the player pool to draft from consists of only All-Stars from 1970-2013. Come check it out...only the very active need apply.

There have been some interesting articles on Golden St and David Lee not being a fit because he is a better C statistically. When you look at their lineup, that might be true. Having Carl Landry play PF and Green/ Barnes play the small 4 is really solid..

Golden St is going to need some extra $ to resign Carl Landry and Jarret Jack.

What Im thinking is

Andrea + Gray + Kleiza for Lee + Bierdrins

Deal saves G ST the final year of Lee's contract and they will need cap space for Barnes / Thompson

Lowry - (Collison?)
DD - Ross - Anderson
Gay - Anderson - Fields
Amir - (Brand?) Fields - Acy
Lee - JV - Bierdrins - Acy

I'd argue this is the best team we've ever had
