If Sac or Detroit were after MCW I think that'd work in our favor to trade up and take BPA. Probably Len or McCollum at that point.

due to the fact that I think the wolves are taking KCP at 9, I really feel like the blazers should trade for Jeremy lamb. perfect fit for this team, dynamic, athletic 2 guard who can score in many ways and is a pure shooter. and then draft a big like zeller or adams

Okay, Lamb is kind of dumb, like really. Check out his Draft interview about the Blazers. He barely knew the names of our players and looked high as f+++. That aside, he played really well in summer league so I think the talent is there.
But anyways, what do we trade to get him? You have us using our pick on Zeller. And the Thunder already have the 12th pick. Do you think they give up a key part of the harden trade to move up 2 spots and trade picks?

I think Meyers for him works for both teams. Meyers is a long project and who knows if he ever pans out.

I'd much rather just trade Meyers and Freeland for Gortat and at least get a proven player and most especially at a position of need

Lamb hasn't done anything and couldn't get off of the bench in OKC even when Harden went
down.

I'm for simply waiting to see which players drop to us for a player like Len could drop to us.
Someone in that second tier of players will be there at 10. All the better if someone ahead
of us reaches for someone out of the top two tiers of players.

chad ford said lamb would be a top 5 pick in this years draft. he killed summer league and dleague, his only flaw is defensive effort but with a good coach and teammates like Portland has I think he would be motivated. and no, a 20 yr old rookie with subpar defense didn't play many minutes for a champion contending thunder who has one of the best defenders and one of the best scoring 2 guards playing ahead of him.

Harden went down??? Did I live in a some sort of bizzaro world or something because I swore that I saw Harden in a Rockets jersey all season.

MCW doesn't have the elite court vision and passing skills Rubio has..

Maybe Andre is the ceiling for him but Andre is a weirdo. I don't remember a player ever having the success he's had with the limited athletic ability and shooting he's got.

Sorry I got him mixed up with Westbrook but its the same team for when OKC was really
challenged to score points when Westbrook went down, Lamb still did not get any minutes.
He played in 23 games for OKC averaging 6.1 mpg. OKC might still be playing if Harden were
still a member of the Thunder.

Dre is a tough player which is why he's still in the league and still effective at his age.

There were other effective PG's for staying with the Blazers, Greg Anthony was a solid player
and Dave Twardzik (championship team) was not known for offense. Players without a jump shot
have to work harder but it can be done for while MCW is not a real good fit alongside of Lillard,
he might be okay on a team that wants to run.

But you're comparing a point guard (Westbrook) to a shooting guard (Lamb) and Lamb was competing with Kevin Martin all season. Now, I'm not saying that Lamb is going to be great, but you can't get on him when he hasn't had a chance to prove anything yet.

10% Lamb's skill, 90% politics & a short rotation.

If I was Portland i'd kill for a dude like Jeremy Lamb, i'd easily trade the 10th pick for him if given a chance.

Kevin Martin is no great shakes and his coach felt he could not help the team
even they were struggling to score without Westbrook. There is a reason why
U Conn failed to win when they had Lamb and Drummond two years ago which
is why that team was a disappointment after winning a title with Kemba
Walker.

So would you easily trade the 8th pick from Detroit, when SG is your biggest need?

Mike Barrett came out with his mock draft:

And he thinks the Blazers take:

I've also have heard Damian Lillard really likes this guy as well.

Only because Portland is rumored to like him.

This was funny.
