Re: #3 for Ilyasova being discussed
I go on vacation for a few days to leave the world behind and I come back to see there's Wizards pre-draft trade "rumors". Its EG and its a bold trade so this is definitely true but as long as Otto is on the board Im not for this at all. Im actually 1 of the few that pushed for Ersan the past couple seasons. Ersan if he wants can be a double-double machine if he gets the minutes (see stats Post ASB).
Why can't we go after Ryan Anderson?

I don't think I'm being too presumptuous in speaking for the other 7 billion people on the planet when I say that no one has the slightest idea what you are talking about.
Which six centers would need to die tonight in tragic yet unrelated kitchen accidents in order to make Chris Andersen the unquestioned best center in the NBA, like it or not?
Cosigned as one of the 7 billion.

For added fun, Deneem might want to look up Chris Anderson's shot % from outside 15 feet. Spoiler alert: LOLOLOLOL

Jus remember who had the biggest impact on the bulls and pacers...and who point short of having a better per tham lebronn in these playpffs
Thanks for the heads up, because none of us watch the playoffs. We didn't even know he was playing.
Questions:
1) When you say "top 7," are you saying there are six that are better than Andersen, or up to six?
2) Who are the centers that might be better than Andersen?
3) If Lebron has a bad game, and Andersen has a good game, might that push Birdman past LeBJ and make him the unquestioned best player on the Heat?
4) As Andersen is clearly the 2nd best player on the Heat, who is most responsible for him not getting the minutes he deserves: Spoelstra, James, Wade, Riley, or some other force (like maybe Andersen's lazy or something)?
5) What?
Wait, the playoffs are still on?

A center plays in the paint...dwight was the best center in the league and couldnt shoot a freethrow...once again...would u rather have noah or duncan???...if shooting mattered we would be dieing to replace nene with ersan...like it or not andersen numbers arent for 1 game they're for the entire playoffs...andersen not the stat guy, hes the cornerstone, sorta how we all want porter to be...he havebthe 3rd biggest impact on the #1 team...and he have won (and lost) matchups between 3 of the centers u put on tht list...and they all had a combo pf backing them up
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft
mike, hakeem and Barkley on the same team!!!!

I've always been a fan of the Birdman. Guy is obviously a moron, but he really frustrates the hell out of the opposing team and is always active.
That's all the Heat have really been missing, an active/physical presence on the boards the past few years.
Against Duncan/Splitter/Diaw etc? Doubt he'll have the same impact.

Ersan's PER of 18.37 ranks him 6th among 3s, 11th among 4s. I think he is a better player than many here are giving him credit for.
Having said that i see no reason to do this deal before draft day. If Porter is off the board i think it becomes a viable option depending on the rest of the deal. I can't see including Okafor/Nene.

It's hilarious. A lot of people liked his game last year for his ability to shoot and rebound decently. Next thing, Ernie gets involved and he's worse than Vesely. EG could trade Singleton, Vesely and and both 2nds for Durant and people would find fault with it.
On the other hand, while I believe that there might be some validity because I think every GM talks to other GMs about all sorts of trade scenarios before the draft, I doubt he gives up a pro's pro like Okafor (who people were killing this year as well but now he's Wes Unseld in his prime).

I don't understand why Vesely can't play the same role. He's long and athletic, though slightly less explosive. He just doesn't play with Birdman's energy, and when your role is energy big, that's a big problem.

Re: #3 for Ilyasova being discussed
Birdman has excellent hands and is a strong finisher. Vesely is not. That's one big difference.

Vesely just needs some tats, a new hairdo, a meth habit, and a suspension. The rest will come.

Confidence. Some have it and some don't. In the WaPost article, he said he was scared to go inside because he didn't want to go to the free throw line.

Yeah. Ya think Birdman ever gives that a thought?

Who exactly is it that Milwaukee wants in the draft anyway?

This. Vesely finished .74% of his shots at the rim in Europe. He was an emphatic finisher by the eyeball test. The problem is not that the competition has improved and he couldn't in theory finish over NBA players. The problem is Vesely. We have met the enemy and he is us.

Some here have faith in Bennet which makes the idea seem a disaster. OTOH, if you see soggy noddles > Anthony Bennet, you're probably looking for a deal.
Here's a tentative list of guys I'd rather have than Bennet:
Spoiler:
I'm hoping that if Porter becomes the next Cleveland Nazgul, we make the trade with Minnesota. While Ersan is better now than Williams, Williams could become a true core piece based on age and upside while the prospects there at 9 are interesting.

Re: #3 for Ilyasova being discussed
Williams and McCollum both on rookie deals. With Singleton and Vesely traded sounds good to me, DM.
