did he say anything interesting?

Not really, just the same old same old.

Said he was happy being an assistant but glad he is getting an opportunity. Focused on Kemba, Hendo, MKG and Biz saying he watched tapes from games at the start of the season, middle of the season and end of the season and that it was obvious with the way they played they really care because they were playing as hard as they were at the start, middle and end of the season. Spoke about their potential and how those 4 haven't even started to scratch the surface.

He is spending his time getting to know the players and putting his staff together.

Said that being around high quality players like Kobe and Nash taught him a lot.

Said that Michael is heavily invested and determined to build a winner.

Said the biggest difference so far from being an assistant Vs a head coach is the amount of media he has to do now.

The rest was Rome trying to poke him to say something bad about Howard and the Lakers and all sorts of crap which Coach Cliff Clavin did a great job of defusing, not answering and handling himself with class.

He also mentioned being very interested in Mason Plumlee with the 4th overall pick and that he would be in on Monday for a workout.

I made that last part up. Just wanted to freak people out.

sounds like silas jr is returning as assistant for clifford. apparently it was clifford's call to keep him on the staff, which was not the case for dunlap.

That's good news it's good to have some hold over that has some rapport with the players.

as much as i like ewing an assistant here i dunno why he's so shocked about his lack of HC opportunities. mega basketball talent... he just doesnt seem like a particularly bright fellow. i cant imagine him out there holding his own in a battle of wits against pops, vogel, thibs etc.

David Baumann: NBA News: GSW asst. Bob Beyer confirms he'll reunite with new Bobcats HC Steve Clifford in CHA and serve as an asst. on the coaching staff. Twitter @DavidBaumann33

David Baumann: Charlotte head coach Steve Clifford tells me he'll soon have Mark Price on his staff too. Nearly a complete #Magic reuniting minus SVG. Twitter @DavidBaumann33

That's a large coaching staff.

Hopefully, Mark can improve our back court terrible shooting.

Mark Price could work wonders for Kemba possibly becoming an elite PG. Price was the Original Don Dada of splitting the screen, a move that Kemba has almost mastered already to date early in his career

Throw MKG in a gym with Price lock the door throw away the key.

Same thing with Ewing/Biyombo.

Fantastic hire

I'd love to see Kemba/Taylor/Hendo take steps from average to good shooters. MKG from bad to average. you have to hit 3s if you wanna win anything in this league. Price is a nice pickup
