Ill pass on BMac, he has "get paid be complacent" written all over him, you have to take either Dipo or Noel if they are available.

Do I really have to type out how goddamn fast, elite athletic, and high effort Ben was for KU this season? He looked like the most athletic, in shape guy out of all the college leagues in the U.S. at many times. Did level of effort all of sudden change to meaning scoring-assertiveness only also, while Ben was actually running around more often than anyone else in the KU offense. It might be super obvious to some we're picking Oladipo, or this guy or that guy, but becareful what you type bc it gets annoying if it comes across like you've never seen the players you're criticizing.

It's not posturing or some ploy, it's a reality and some of you are so sure of McLemore and reports like this just reaffirm quite the opposite. Denial, pride maybe? I'd start to reconsider if I were some of you. In less than 7 days from now and if we stay at #2, Oladipo will be our pick.

reports are that Noel has healed well, and is well ahead of schedule on recovery. if that's the case, then Noel will be our pick. if that's the case.

i just wish Marcus Smart had stayed in. he'd be a hands down #1 at this point and i'm sure we'd be making a deal with Cleveland to land him.

It kinds makes sense. Dipo wants his draft stock to rise so he's natrually going to give 100% to the team with the #1 pick. I could see McLemore not wanting to play for Cleveland. I take these reports with a grain of salt. It's going to be one of BMac, Dipo, Move down for Burke, or CJ in no particular order.

makes me think someone made some promises to Ben

this post is hilarious because Ben would almost certainly take the extra money that comes with being a number one pick since he's said time and time again taking care of his family is what's most important to him

I wouldn't say that but I think he's anxious to get paid. I remember reading that he's had a rough life, his brother is in jail and his family struggles financially, so I think he's just ready to help his family out of this struggle.

^Agreed. It's about $2.1m more over 4 years to be the #1 pick vs the #2 pick. Another $1.8m if he falls to 3rd, and another $1.6 at 4th, and $1.4 at 5th (nearly $7m to go #1 vs #5).

You don't purposefully phone it in when you come from a family that needs financial stability.

NOLA tv guy:
Chris Miles ‏@mileswdsu
Mclemore's stock apparently is taking a hit as Orlando has locked into Trey Burke according to a league source
Chris Miles ‏@mileswdsu
No surprise, wizards locked on Porter at 3 more chatter about Cavs taking Len at 1
Chris Miles ‏@mileswdsu
Two different sources from two different Michael Carter Williams workouts say "he is out of shape" and could not finish their teams drills

They're likely getting rid of Bledsoe regardless of this Boston stuff. If CP3 is back, they'll move Bledsoe.

Because it's a great idea not to have a backup when Chris Paul is your PG?

I pray we dont take Burke with the #2 pick in this draft, Noel or Dipo for me, Burke is at best an average starter in this league, Raymond Felton comes to mind.

Burke's probablly the safest pick right now. Hopefully they have something in place to land a later pick.

Eh..I'm pretty sure he can meet his families financial needs with $1.8 million.

No one questioned his athleticism during the season, they questioned his focus and effort - just like they're doing now. He frequently floated on perimeter without making purposeful cuts or moves. This isn't a new issue for him.

Id prefer McCollum over Burke if we trade down. Kinda interesting that NOLA's camp is reporting we are locked in on Burke.. Arent they very high on Burke? Maybe they are a potential partner for a trade down.

Who says Ben does not have a high motor?

This is what DX says in their analysis:

At the same time, McLemore is still figuring out how to maximize himself on this end of the floor consistently, which is a common problem with young players making the transition from high school to college basketball, especially those not known as fiery competitors. His positioning, awareness and focus leaves a bit to be desired at times, as it occasionally looks like he's only going at half speed and will get lost off the ball. With the tools he shows, though, there's little doubt that he has the ability to be a terrific option here, as long as he puts his mind to it.
