Re: 2013-2014 Serie A
Yeah was looking for this thread, thanks for creating it.
Apparently the Italian football league has it annual scandal quite soon, even before the season started.
Today the police has raided 41 Italian clubs, including 18 Serie A sides. It was a tax and money-laundering investigation. Though none of the team names were officially released it is known that Juventus, AC Mailand, Neapel, and Lazio were among those clubs. At the moment it looks like Bologna and Cagliari were the two Seria A clubs which weren't raided.
Prosecutors in Naples said the clubs were being investigated for allegedly conspiring to avoid paying large amounts of tax during player transfers. The Naples court said suspected offences committed included criminal conspiracy and falsifying invoices as well as tax evasion and money laundering.
The inquiry also includes players’ agents, especially Alejandro Mazzoni and Alessandro Moggi, which seem to bee the base of the scandal.
Italian football is no stranger to scandal on or off the pitch - with match-fixing allegations and hooliganism among its other problems.

I am going to try to watch more Serie A this year. There are too many Colombians for me to keep ignoring it.

Is Cuadrado staying at Fiorentina this season or going back to Udinese?

Milan making no moves. We need a more depth, especially at center back.

Napoli is having a good summer... aside from losing Cavani and Campagnaro, they brought in Mertens, Reina, Higuain, Callejon, and Albiol.
also Fiorentina lost Jovetic, but brought in Mario Gomez, Ilicic, Ambrosini, Joaquin, and will have a healthy Giuseppe Rossi...if they could get a solid defender or two before the summer ends they'll be better than last year for sure

They need to keep Ljajic. What's going on with his situation.

I am curious to see how Mario does on Serie A when not playing for a super stacked team. My guess is that he will still score a ton of goals.

Fiorentina is the strongest team after Juventus. They are way better than AC Milan and Inter. Even though they sold Jovetic, they got Mario Gomez then Ljajic, Savic, Valero, Cuadrado, Rossi, Aquilani, Ilicic, Ranocchia. They have some who might make a huge impact this year such as Matias Fernandez and Juan Vargas. More importantly, they have Vincenzo Montella who will be a top class manager within some years.

Re: 2013-2014 Serie A
Juventus is so far ahead of the pack this year it's hilarious
Best GK in the league in Buffon.
They have 4 CBs who can start for a CL side in Bonucci, Chiellini (best CB in the league), Barzagali and Ogbonna. Lichtsteiner is the best RB in the league, Carcares is amazing too.
Midfield depth is ridiculous. Pirlo and Vidal are probably the best in the league at their positions. Then Marchisio, Asamoah, Pogba, and Isla. Wow.
Now they actually have quality up front too. Tevez, Llorente, Giovicino, Vucivic...
They're going for the hat-trick this year IMO.

Oh I agree and they are my favorite Serie A team by default. I was just saying that a lot of Mario's goals in Bundesliga could be accredited to Bayern being so vastly superior to other teams. That shouldn't be the case here, but I still expect him to score a 20+ with that midfield feeding him balls.

I understand bro but it wouldn't surprise me if he scores more than 15+ goals because Fiorentina's attacking side including midfielders is incredible. I still dont think he would score 25+ goals but he will be somewhere between 10 to 17 goals.

Mario won't score as much as Klose.

Hopefully Belfodil takes over for Palacio at some point in the season. I also can't imagine Ranocchia not starting as long as he's not sold.

The midfield is good with playmakers like Montolivo, KPB, Poli and enforcers like Muntari, De Jong, Nocerino so he will get quality service this season plus he and El Shaarwry have more chemistry now.
