No way Noah gets traded. If Bulls can get their hands on Asik, they spin him to Portland and keep Noah. He's too central to the personality of this team.

Shenanigans.

To be clear, McGraw was re-tweeting someone else. That's not happening at all. I don't think it's even doable salary-wise, with Noah + Rip going out and Asik + LMA coming in.

You are correct, I missed that originally... It was a re-tweet. However, what if we amnesty Boozer since LMA would be here?

Yes you do. Maybe not to the same degree, but teams do game plan to stop Aldridge. He's one of the best power forwards in the league and a scoring threat.

of course Noah's not a better player than Dirk, but Aldridge isn't Dirk, nor is he in his class of player.

I'm not saying Aldridge is in Dirk's class, I'm saying that just because Noah can be perceived as "doing more," it doesn't mean he's the better player.

Noah isn't a top-3 scoring option on a championship team. He is a starter and a valuable piece. He's a super role player and a damn good one at that. Aldridge at his best could be the Robin to someone's Batman. That's more valuable.

that is reasonable. But also unreasonable is the idea floating around this thread that the Bulls should seriously consider trading Deng, Gibson the Charlotte pick and another 1st rounder for friggin Lamarcus Aldridge. I Like LA, but under no circumstances should the Bulls bend over and take it in the culo for him.

Theoretically if you were building your team to play the Heat, you could probably play LMA at the 5 and Taj at the 4. LMA is big enough to match up against Bosh.

From what I've read the guy dislikes playing the center position, so much so that they played a 6'8 guy at the center spot so LMA could play his favoured position at power forward.
Why so serious?

I don't like the idea of sizing down to play the Heat... I wanna use our competitive advantage (bigs) to smash them on the boards and LMA doesn't rebound like Noah/Boozer.

I dont really thing thats the bigger problem. Noah can man the paint by himself. No big man in the league covers as much ground as Noah does and thats important when you have guys like Wade/LeBron

Do people on this board seriously think a Rose/Butler/Deng/Boozer/Noah starting 5 with Hinrich + Taj + #20 pick + Nazr + shooters isn't title worthy?? It's the best friggin team the Bulls have had since 98...

Wow. You just called Noah a role player, I don't even know how to respond to that.

But you aren't losing NOAH, MIROTIC or BUTLER in that scenario..

Aldridge / Noah / Mirotic / Butler / Rose

Bulls should win titles TOO out east while Miami does..

Just like the Spurs & LA's yearly tradeoffs...

I wants some more titles man...give this man a #2 NOW if u can...

What's wrong with being a roleplayer? Doesn't mean he's Daequan Cook. He's a super role player. Players like Tyson Chandlerand a prime-Marcus Camby are the same thing.

good concept and I agree so should we stay in a handling pattern until guys become more attainable?Gibson would be someone I would miss the most and he is still making a lofty 8 million to be a bench player that cant score.

You have a weird definition of role player. And when and if the Bulls win a title Noah is entirely capable of being the 3rd best player, maybe even 2nd best if we can grab one next year with this roster. Not a role player, at all.

I don't disagree with you, but 29 teams right now who didn't win the title should be tweaking their teams to get better. Difference in 91-93 or 96-98 is we were winning titles. This team has proved to be good, but it's obvious we need more firepower.
