I don't see how this is crazy thinking....an if DRose actually played last year, he may have even took deng or Noah off the all star team. Butler will take shots away from deng this year, same with rose. I can see deng scoring 13-14ppg this year

Batum doesn't light the world on fire, necessarily. I would think Deng is still an upgrade. Also, Batum's contract is reasonable.

Staying healthy and on the floor accounts for something in this trade scenario. I think that tips the scales in LMA's favor for me, at least.

HE himself said it was going to be a problem for the rest of his career...

If it takes JoNo to get a #2 for D-Rose, I'm all for it. They passed up on a #2 for JoNo before (Melo) and I've been bi*ching about it since. You need offensive STARS to win titles, when they become availible, you have to jump on it.

Do they just want JoNo alone or more parts?

Because if my choice is

JoNo or Mirotic/Bobcats pick/Butler then I'm taking the latter every time.

Joakim Noah is the man but I don't fall in love with players. We're trying to win MULTIPLE titles and we need truely talented offensive players to do it. Lebron James is going NOWHERE & he's still pretty young himself.

The scheme plays a part, but you still have to make the shots and score the points. It's not like Aldridge vs. the Bulls is just standing at the elbow shooting jumpers all day.

I don't see a scheme that's making him look good, I see a team that flat-out can't guard him. He's doing whatever he wants.

His performance against us doesn't really matter. How did he do against Miami? Can he dominate them on the inside, and guard Bosh well enough 1 on 1?

Did the Portland announcer really just say "They didn't get the big three they were looking for, but they got Boozer who might be even better"??

If there are 2 trades available...an they looked similar to this...

Noah for Aldridge

Or

Jimmy butler, Taj, Charlotte pick, Mirotic, #20....something like this..

I would trade Noah and keep all my assets

I would do the exact opposite but I think I can see both sides of the coin. I just think LMA and Noah are a perfect front-court pair.

There is no PERFECT basketball player man.

is this a comedy routine?

"LMA is unblockable"
"yeah, but he doesn't make a lot of 'em"
"nobody's perfect"

do you have any earthly idea how ridiculous that exchange was?

the jumper is supposed to be LMA's selling point! he's not only not perfect, he's simply not very good. at anything

If you think Boozer is just as good as LaMarcus, that's on you

never said that

I've been wondering why we've been getting our asses KICKED by Portland the last few years. Looks like LA's holding a grudge lol.

We need that guy on the Bulls. D can pass him the ball and litterally take a break on offense.

Not only that but he could improve TREMENDOUSLY with Thibs as his head coach going forward in his career.

I do believe we need change and deng-boozer should be the ones out but is Aldridge the answer? will he put up better numbers than booz or will they be similar? Lets not forget Aldridge was the go to guy in Portland, here he would be the second to third option on offense. Just thinking if he will make a diiference here or not..

You keep saying this, but I'm not sure its true. Does the West really have the East outclassed in bigs anymore? I guess I'd need to give it some thought, but that isn't something I would have assumed.

Lopez
Chandler
Noah
Taj (you are talking about who he goes against, and Taj's defense is elite)
KG
Bynum
Bosh
Drummond
Monroe
Sideshow Bob
Hibbert
West
Sanders
Horford
Vucevic

The East's bigs are pretty good.

Howard
Asik
Duncan
Dirk
Griffin
Cousins
Ibaka
Bogut
Z-Bo
Marc Gasol
Davis
Love
Jefferson

That's pretty good too, but I'm not seeing a difference that is noteworthy at all. Particularly when you consider defense, which represents "who Aldridge would be going up against."

41% is also due to many isolation plays and contested jumpers as portland just flat out sucks. anyone saying aldridge isnt good is just ignorant and flat out wrong

3rd option to WHOM?

He averages 21 a game and they run their offense THROUGH him.

Aldridge is not a liablity on the other end and is also IN the 4th and last minutes. Boozer, not so much.

Aldridge/Mirotic creates problems for just about ANY team in the NBA.

LaMarcus vs. Miami in the Big 3 Era:

31points, 14rebounds, 52%
26points, 4rebounds, 55%
20points, 6rebounds, 55%
20points, 15rebounds, 31%
29points, 5rebounds, 65%

Average: 25.2ppg, 8.8rebs, 51.6%fg.

This isn't some standstill jumpshooter. If you closeout, he can take you to the basket with a full head of steam and finish. He can post you up. He can face you up. He can hit turnaround jumpers. He can get to the line. He's an underrated passer.

I have to admit bro, your signature makes it impossible for me to take anything you say about Deng as anything other than agenda driven and biased. Whether Deng is actually on the Allstar team or not, he's the same player.

The narrative used to be "Deng is only an allstar because of Rose." Then Deng did it again without Rose. So now its "Deng won't be an allstar because of Rose." And like I said, it doesn't matter if he's an allstar or not. What matters is how he plays.

I doubt that gets it done. The best player in that group is Deng (very good) but that is the one place with the most duplication because of Batum except Batum is three years younger. Similar numbers except Batum gets significantly more assists, more blocks and is a much better shooter from 3-pt range. So that asset doesn't help Portland much and the rest isn't enough or in the case of the Charlotte pick, too far down the road.

That's the thing which sucks. If the Blazers didn't have Batum, Deng, Gibson and the Bobcats pick is a strong offer. The problem is Portland does. The thing to me is Deng is very good like you said, so he should be able to net Portland the additional pieces, at least you would think so.

What about a three way deal with Was? Something like Deng to the Wizards, Nene to Portland and LMA to Chicago? Of course with fillers and whatnot. Is Nene and Taj a good enough package?

If he is all of those things - I have to wonder why his TS% is average at best and piss poor in comparison to other F/C.

Of the 78 F/C that avg'd 10 points per game - LMA was 55th in TS%
