I can see this happening:

Assistant GM: Danny are you insane?? This deal is horriawuful! Gerald Wallace????!!

Ainge: Relax! It's a great deal, I can easily just amnesty him. I've already agreed to the trade, the NBA is going to approve it.

Assistant GM: Danny... you can't amnesty him...

Really? That starting lineup is pretty damn good.

A new roster, with a 1st year coach who has zero experience. Good luck with that

That coach also happens to have one of the best basketball minds EVER.

Looks like a win-win to me. BK becomes contenders and it helps Celtics rebuild.

Celtics make Wallace their #1 option = winning 2014 lottery.

Those picks arent too bad, but taking on Gerald Wallace's contract is just disgusting.

I don't understand why KG and Pierce won't go to the bulls. Now THAT would be a good trade for both teams (bulls parting with some picks etc.)

I'd be down for that...

We have better picks too. Bobcats in 2016 unprotected, this years 20th pick, the rights to Mirotic (who would be a top 3 pick in this draft). Plus better players in terms of filling salary.

Hard to imagine Jason Kidd doing a poor job as a coach. He's universally respected in NBA circles and he is obviously going to be able to relate to the modern player. He knows the game. He's intelligent, well spoken, and he's poised under pressure. I think Kidd will be an excellent coach.

And obviously, having KG and Pierce there in the huddle would make his job that much easier. I'm a Celtics fan, so I don't want to see this trade happen, but if it did I'd say the Nets would have a chance to be pretty dominant.

Does Billy King know that Pierce will be 36, and Garnett 37 when the season starts?

And that he hired a first time coach?

Nets would be insane if that happened.

Or be Lakers 2.0

The nets would significantly improve with this supposed trade, any gm would be dumb not to do it.

I doubt it happens, though, unfortunately.

Three first round picks is awesome for the Celts. They can also make the playoffs next year.

Rondo/Terry
Bradley/Crawford/Lee
Green/Wallace
Humphries/Sullinger
Dieng/Melo

This lineup will not get the Celtics into the Playoffs IMO.

For one season - maybe. And then they're out three #1 picks, no MLE, no ability to sign and trade. Hows that 2014-2015 Nets team looking?

Noah
KG
Deng
Pierce
Rose

... Got dang. Although I don't know the combination of contracts that might work, the identity of that team is much better fitting.

Superstar in Rose, Stars in Deng and Noah, Solid defensive role players in pierce and KG. All works under thibs system.

It's not a well-thought out lineup. They still have more picks and can pick up a free agent or two. It's always possible to nab the 8th seed, but they should just tank for Wiggins IMO.

Rondo+PP+KG > DW+PP+KG

Don't see them winning alot more games.

Still better than the current state of the nets.
